Stallone, Statham and Jet Li Are EXPENDABLES - Nov 06, 2008 - 04:38pm
Okay, to set people straight.  Jet Li has retired from doing traditional kung fu movies, based on historical figures, because he's done all that he can with the genre and feels as though he's insulting the former masters.

Toy Maniac: Playstation 3 or Xbox 360? - Oct 23, 2008 - 06:27am
Speaking as a guy who sells them: The hard drive space is about to become critical on both systems, as there are updates pending that will allow you install games on the HDD, either completely or the most commonly loaded components, in order to save on drive wear.  (Which is the #1 issue with both systems.) Hardware-wise, the PS3 is hands down the better system.  Developer support, though, gives a major lead to the 360. So, the old Playstation mantra is in effect, it's all about the games.  Look at the library, especially the exclusives, and see which fits you better.  That said, it looks like the 360 is going to be the platform of choice this generation, so despite it's issues, you might want to go that way.  That said, if the store where you get it offers some sort of multi-year service plan, snap it up if you go 360.  There's a really good chance that you'll need it when the warranty runs out.

China Plans Live-Action MULAN - Oct 14, 2008 - 05:21am
Another one? Michelle Yeoh's got one in the works too, and there was talk of another one, but I think that ended up as a TV series.

Relativity Takes on Schmidt's HUNTER-KILLER - Oct 01, 2008 - 02:26pm
Except for the fact that Hunter-Killer is a real world term.

Mania on this Day: Kill Twin Bill, Spielberg Collides and Unspoiled Knight - Sep 01, 2008 - 02:03pm
No, because it wasn't even Gordon's funeral. It was just someone seeing a photo of a black character and assuming that it was played by Morgan Freeman.

Collins Suggests More TOS Surprises in TREK - Aug 19, 2008 - 07:34pm
If it's a voice, what's the single most well known voice in the franchise? The Computer. It'll be Majel Barrett Roddenbery. That said, I'm still expecting a Shatner cameo, as his public tantrums seem a little more over the top than normal for him.

DVD Review of Transformers Cyberton: The Ultimate Collection - Aug 18, 2008 - 07:54am
"...and as good as many of the Japanese Anime shows." It is a Japanese Anime show. It was produced by Gonzo for both markets. http://www.gdh.co.jp/english/

New Redband Footage for PUNISHER - Jul 27, 2008 - 04:14pm
Well, I just saved $10. What a steaming pile...

Update: DARK KNIGHT Grabs Third Record - Jul 19, 2008 - 08:12pm
Ah, the parentage of Barbara Gordon. She is adopted, but at the same time, it's been strongly implied that Jim Gordon is her biological father after having an affair with his sister-in-law.

RZA Teams with Eli Roth for MARTIAL ARTS Film - Jul 07, 2008 - 07:40pm
It's not like Marvel didn't rip the name off of a half-dozen kung-fu flicks in the first place.

New Sneak Peek for CLONE WARS at Celebration Japan - Jul 02, 2008 - 10:25am
Christensen openly offered to come back, as widely reported, but Lucasfilm obviously said no. Ewan McGregor is in no danger of being typecast. I can't believe anybody would seriously even think that. As for Christopher Lee not being typecast? That's hilarious. He's been typecast since the 60s. Samuel L. Jackson is the only one who's in danger of being typecast.

Nicole Ritchie Joining NBC's CHUCK - Jun 26, 2008 - 08:31am
For Christ's sake people, she's only got a bit part on one episode playing a character that, surprise, is exactly like her. It's not the end of the world, and who knows, she might actually shine like that other celebutard did on that other show.

Carradine & Hannah Reunite for KUNG FU KILLER - Jun 20, 2008 - 07:24am
Old news. It premiered in the UK in February, and has been airing in Canada for months.

AFI Releases Top 10 Lists for Genre Classics - Jun 18, 2008 - 06:55am
It's funny how lists of American films include films that aren't American.

Hulk Fight Breakdown: Norton vs. Universal - Jun 15, 2008 - 06:28am
The thing is, Norton was being professional about the whole thing, and whoever leaked the feud to the net is responsible for blowing everything up. Norton's issues were legit, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was Marvel trying to make them out to be unreasonable. As for Marvel letting it get to their heads? If the Iron Man 2 stuff is on the level, it sounds like it has.

Mania Manifesto: 7 Reasons Blade Runner Was Prophetic - Jun 04, 2008 - 09:12am
Blade Runner wasn't particularly prophetic, unless you consider self-fulfilling prophecy to be legitimate prophecy. It was, however, extremely influential, and arguably the single most important film ever made in that regard. It changed culture, science, fashion, and architecture for decades and continues to do so. All the stuff you covered, save the rain in LA bit, were already in motion and all Blade Runner did was pick them up and run with them.

New Teaser Poster for WITCHBLADE - May 27, 2008 - 02:15pm
Considering that the studio has only made the Jeremiah TV series, I seriously doubt it's either Alba or Berry. They couldn't afford them.

Top Seven Reasons Hardcore Gamers Don't Matter Anymore - May 27, 2008 - 02:12pm
7. Those Pokemon games are for the DS, not the Wii. The Wii has the lowest attach rate for game consoles since the Atari 2600 days. It makes Nintendo money, but almost nobody else, as it's bought as a party game by the majority of those who purchase it, and they generally aren't buying games. The people buying the most games are the hardcore gamers. 6. Spielberg's been in the game biz since the original Medal of Honor. He's just a shrewd businessman. 5. So, by this, are you saying that Diner Dash the movie is in the works? The most played video game in the world, by a huge margin, is Windows Solitaire. 4. EA bought Pogo in 2001. Nothing new here. 3. Women have been there for ages, the guys just weren't looking. 2. And? We've known this for the better part of a decade. 1. You're young, aren't you? SNL spoofed Pac-Man back in the day, and Mario, and ... Also, doesn't SNL doing a GTA skit derail your argument? It implies that Hardcore gaming is what it's all about. Now, if they'd done a Bejewelled skit....

Iron Scribes Penning HIGHLANDER Remake - May 21, 2008 - 10:20am
There's nothing in the original Highlander, save the sex scene, that would really warrant an R rating today. Primetime TV has been gorier than the original Highlander. So, make it PG-13 and I doubt we'll notice a difference. Also, Gerard Butler for Macleod. At the very least he'll have a Scottish accent, and we have somebody who can act to boot. (Bale's too Welsh for the part.)

PTA to Direct GEAR? - May 14, 2008 - 04:55am
Yeah, right, Paul Thomas Anderson directing MGS. Pfft. I'll believe that one when somebody other than Kotaku reports it, and isn't using the Kotaku story as it's source.

Bandai Releasing MACROSS in Blu-Ray - Apr 16, 2008 - 08:21am
No. It's solely set in the original Macross universe, and doesn't tie into Robotech at all.

Precursors - Apr 01, 2008 - 09:22am
No, it's the sequel to The Asylum's (Transmorphers, I Am Omega) 2005 flick "HG Wells' War of the Worlds." The one with C. Thomas Howell in it. This time it looks like they're trying to rip-off BSG.

McShane Toplines NBC's KINGS - Mar 31, 2008 - 06:37am
The show was called "Empire", but it only lasted a few episodes, and it stank.

Dark Horse and Universal Sign Deal - Mar 15, 2008 - 09:59am
This is only a distribution deal with DHE, and doesn't really mean much at all. EVERYTHING that people have listed so far is either licensed or creator owned, and not a part of the deal. It only covers properties actually created and owned by Dark Horse exclusively, not stuff they publish. They'd have to deal with Frank Miller in order to produce his works, Hiroaki Samura for his, and so on. On it's own, Dark Horse owns pretty much squat when it comes to it's 'big' titles, and the only reason that Hellboy's a part of this is that Mignola and DHE already have a very amicable production agreement.

Wait for It... - Mar 11, 2008 - 08:22am
Spielberg doesn't believe in doing commentaries,

AvP Sequel Talks Continue at Fox - Mar 10, 2008 - 07:28pm
"Despite Firefly and Serenity being AMAZINGLY GOOD, there is no financial basis to do another Serenity movie." Actually, Serenity cleaned up on DVD, both the original release and the special edition. Austin Powers and Hellboy both got sequels due to home video sales, so there is a very solid financial basis for a Serenity sequel. Also, we got Serenity because Firefly itself did spectacularly well on DVD.

Black Freighter Confirmed for WATCHMEN DVD - Mar 03, 2008 - 06:42am
I have the feeling that this is more Butler not really knowing what he's talking about rather than it actually being done anime style. I mean, why would Snyder insist on being faithful to the original source on everything but the animated short? It doesn't make sense.

Here Today! - Feb 06, 2008 - 08:22am
"What is the difference from the Boomstick edition?" The cover.

Johnston Confirmed for WOLFMAN - Feb 04, 2008 - 06:31am
It's the same Johnston, but he wasn't a conceptual artist, per se. He designed/built the models.

Last Week - Jan 22, 2008 - 10:57am
"Again, are Special Features worth those five extra dollars to you?" It depends on what the DVD is, how 'special' the features are, and how much of a difference the price really is.

Mulder & Scully Pics & Details for X-FILES 2 - Jan 17, 2008 - 07:18am
re: baby It wasn't so much revealed as it was made blatantly obvious.

Universal & Imagine Eyeing LENSMAN Classics - Jan 11, 2008 - 08:32am
Monkeyfoot, this is as epic and sweeping as the Star Wars saga, and it might just shoot it in the foot. The fact that Star Wars was based largely on Lensmen is going to lead to direct comparisons and cries of it being a rip-off.

Lionsgate Buys NA Rights to CONAN Series - Jan 11, 2008 - 08:30am
I feel sorry for Conan fans, as Nu Image/Millennium Films have a track record that rivals Uwe Boll's. They're responsible for the majority of the Sci-Fi Channel Originals, and not the good ones. (Mansquito was one of theirs.)

HD-DVD Backers Switching to Blu-Ray? - Jan 10, 2008 - 10:53am
Square Enix has done one, and only one, title for the 360 and that is FFXI. For the record, the 360 is second from the bottom in Japanese sales, and that's why you don't see many Japanese companies jumping on the MS bandwagon. The only reason why Capcom went 360 is because they were (and still are) close to bankruptcy and can't afford to be exclusive. They're banking on DMC4 and RE5 to bail them out, seeing as how Lost Planet on the 360 tanked for them. Ubisoft dropped exclusivity because they're building an animation studio in Montreal, so they too can't afford exclusivity. As for optical media becoming obsolete anytime soon? Don't count on it. While the technology exists, the infrastructure (namely the ability to bring high bandwidth downloads to every possible consumer) does not, and until billions more are poured into it, it's just not going to happen. Right now, it's just a pipe dream of Microsoft, as the providers just don't even remotely have the coverage to pull it off. Not now, and definitely not in 2 years. A decade? Maybe, but not any time soon. I mean, look how long it's taken, with all the various changes of date, to switch over to digital only broadcasting. It was supposed to happen a decade ago, and it still hasn't happened. (I'm expecting the deadline to change yet again.)

HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE Hits DVD on Feb 26 - Jan 08, 2008 - 05:23pm
I'd like to point out that Christopher Lambert starred in more bad Highlander movies than good ones. As for Adrian Paul wanting more, well, it's not like he has any control over the franchise. Or had any, at all, ever. He got a paycheque out of it, and it's Panzer/Davis that's decided to continue the franchise.

Update: WB Is Now Blu-Ray Exclusive, HD-DVD Responds - Jan 04, 2008 - 08:44pm
Uh, Warcry, do your own research. Sony's only one player in the format, they're partnered with Apple, Dell, Hitachi, HP, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Pioneer, Philips, Samsung, Sharp, TDK and Thomson.

Favreau Talks IRON MAN - Jan 04, 2008 - 07:49am
No flying: A "reliable source" said that the flying shots were for promotional purposes, but Favreau came out and said that was false. Favreau's cameo: It's in the trailer. He's one of Stark's bodyguards.

WALLACE AND GROMIT: THREE AMAZING ADVENTURES - Jan 02, 2008 - 09:01am
It's identical, except for the cover, to the 2005 Dreamworks version. My guess is that since Dreamworks and Aardman have parted ways, that the Fox version replaces the Dreamworks one.

A look ahead... - Jan 02, 2008 - 07:51am
michaelxaviermaelstrom: It's the live-action series, despite what Amazon says, not the animated one.

Look of the New INCREDIBLE HULK - Dec 24, 2007 - 05:45am
I'm waiting for a real picture of the Hulk CG, and not another conceptual drawing, before I get excited.

Kristin Kreuk Leads STREET FIGHTER - Dec 21, 2007 - 08:19pm
A purple belt in what? Chun Li's a wushu practitioner. I'm pretty sure that Kruek hasn't studied wushu. That said, Pan Quingfu, one of the greatest living martial artists in the world, lives in Canada now. He's arguably the foremost wushu sifu, and he does train actors. I suppose they could hire him to train her, if they don't end up hiring Yuen Wo-Ping.

Little Pegged to Direct TEKKEN - Dec 20, 2007 - 08:58pm
Considering that the people behind the DOA have all done better, especially Corey Yuen, it's pretty obvious that it was intentionally bad. It's probably the truest game to movie adaptation out there, as the DOA games are pure cheese outside the fighting.

Storm Shadow & Scarlett Cast for G.I JOE - Dec 19, 2007 - 04:01am
The 'Japanese guy' from House of Flying Daggers, is actually Taiwanese. He's only 1/4 Japanese, is a huge Chinese pop star, and casting Takeshi Kaneshiro would be expensive.

"I've seen things..." - Dec 18, 2007 - 06:19am
re: Deckard as a replicant. Who is Adams? Dick wrote the novel, where Deckard was not an android, and Peoples & Fancher wrote the movie where they implied that he might be. (Scott just ran with that implication.) The fact that it really doesn't make a lick of sense for Deckard to be a replicant aside, the implications only arose in a later draft of the screenplay.

Blu-Ray or HD-DVD? - Dec 11, 2007 - 10:13am
Spielberg supports Blu-Ray, as the release of the CE3K set a few weeks back shows, and he was hands on in that set's production.

How Long Before Your Shows Go Dark? - Dec 02, 2007 - 06:35am
LoneReconEagle, BSG has unaired 10 episodes in the can, and Stargate Atlantis is unaffected as it's an almost totally Canadian production. Plus, they're about to wrap shooting the entire season about now.

Footage from FORBIDDEN KINGDOM Online - Nov 16, 2007 - 09:54am
For those who are asking, it's a US-Canada-China co-production and is intended for wide release in North America. As for imitating a Golden Harvest flick? Huh? It's co-produced by the Huayi Brothers, who're one of the big new Chinese production companies behind movies such as Warriors of Heaven and Earth, Kung Fu Hustle, Rob-B-Hood, and The Banquet. Golden Harvest is struggling these days, since their cash cow won't work for them anymore.

Benderspink Adapting STARKWEATHER Comic - Nov 11, 2007 - 06:37pm
Wait a sec... The Pro, as in the superpowered prostitute comic by Garth Ennis?

David Fincher Adapts THE KILLER - Nov 02, 2007 - 08:59am
What's really bizarre is that the graphic novel predates Woo's movie by a year and they're so similar. I wonder if the GN was inspired by Le Samourai as well.

Director Needed For ARMY OF THE DEAD - Oct 27, 2007 - 09:16am
"how can you set a Zombie movie in Vegas after Extinction" Simple, make it better. Which should be simple in it's own right.

EA Announces New Horror Game DEAD SPACE - Oct 24, 2007 - 11:18am
Great reading comprehension there. It's says it's a third person survival horror game in the second sentence.

Miller Set to Helm AREA 52 - Oct 24, 2007 - 10:09am
What's not mentioned is that the comic was a dark comedy.

Favreau Updates on IRON MAN Flying Rumor - Sep 16, 2007 - 01:24pm
No, bdd, we can't. If we could, then we could sue for almost every single commercial and/or trailer ever made.

Ian McShane Clarifies DEATH RACE Setting - Sep 12, 2007 - 06:20am
McShane's on the left, not right.

Vikings Invade Britain in 'BATTLE DREAMER' - Sep 06, 2007 - 06:38pm
Lemme guess. Sean Bean betrays his brother and they're forced to fight each other.

New Red Band BEOWULF Trailer - Aug 24, 2007 - 09:33pm
Seriously, people haven't found the very, very simple way around this? Daniel Glickman, 11/24/44, 20016 (Chairman of the MPAA)

Bay Rejects TRANSFORMERS 2 After Blu-Ray Snub? - Aug 21, 2007 - 09:23pm
Bay's already recanted what he said, and deleted his first blog post: http://www.michaelbay.com/blog/index.html

Raimi to Direct HOBBIT, Jackson to Produce? - Aug 14, 2007 - 09:33pm
As much as I like and respect Raimi's work, del Toro would be the better choice for it, and Pan's Labyrinth proved that. That said, since Jackson's own directorial style was cribbed from Raimi, which he fully admits, then that also might make sense.

Wahlberg, Statham Reunite For GI JOE? - Aug 14, 2007 - 09:25pm
Action Man is what they called the original G.I. Joe in the UK, as 'G.I. Joe' didn't actually have any meaning there at the time. When G.I. Joe became the codename for the team, as opposed to a single guy, they called it 'Action Force' in the UK. A few years back, Hasbro decided to restart the Action Man franchise, as a superspy, and released a toy line worldwide under the same name. There was an animated series that ran in 1996 in syndication. Then, in 2000, they decided to revamp it again, and this time he was an extreme sports action hero, and there was a CGI animated series by Mainframe. Now, you can stop asking who Action Man is.

Stephen Sommers to Direct G.I JOE? - Aug 11, 2007 - 05:36pm
Hmmm.... getting a director who movie website fanboys call a hack to direct a big budget movie based on a popular Hasbro toyline with a long history. Yeah, that's doomed to fail.

Seven Videos of 1-18-08 - Aug 04, 2007 - 06:54pm
They've been shooting it out in the open, but it's been under a codename. If you didn't know what they were shooting, you wouldn't know it from any other shoot.

Francis Directs Live Action SNOW WHITE - Aug 01, 2007 - 10:16am
This is the one that Yuen Wo-Ping was set to direct a couple of years back. Jet Li and Natalie Portman are in talks to star.

There's the pot calling the kettle black.

Universal Wants SHINOBI Remake - Jul 31, 2007 - 01:09pm
The Shinobi in this case is the movie Shinobi: Heart Under Blade, based on the novel that the anime series Basalisk was based on, not a 3 part syndicated series. What you saw was the straight to video series also called Shinobi, but not related to the movie.

Comic Con: IRON MAN & HULK Videos - Jul 31, 2007 - 12:02pm
If you listen to the comments, that's not the Hulk FX from the movie, it's just concept art for him.

The MIST a Hard R-Rating - Jul 28, 2007 - 11:38am
I can understand an R-rating. The Host got an R-rating, and it's not a gorefest, but a hard-R is something different. The Mist isn't Grindhouse or Hostel or The Hills Have Eyes, and shouldn't be if they want to be a decent adaptation of the story. I mean, the entire point of the mist in The Mist was to obscure everything so that you can't see anything. People would leave, and you could only hear screams, or whatever. It was left up to the imagination. That said, I'm looking forward to the shot where they drive under 'something' that walks over them, and can only see the legs. It's the one image that sticks in my head to this day.

Schumacher Remaking Hong Kong NEWS - Jul 25, 2007 - 10:09am
I'm going to bet that this one's going to flop. The original was a somewhat over-the-top satire of HK crime movies and the media, and I can't see Hollywood getting that.

Fox Pulls Out of COMIC CON - Jul 19, 2007 - 10:20am
"Some key guy at Fox really hated the show by never putting the show at the same time...." That's not what happened at all. For starters, the show was on Fridays at 8pm, and the only time it wasn't was when there was a World Series game on then. Secondly, Fox execs went to the public to get people to watch the shows, and the head of programming petitioned to his bosses not to have the show cancelled after it's second episode (which is what they wanted, as the ratings dropped significantly after The Train Job, which didn't have particularly great ratings itself.)

Action Scene from WAR Online - Jul 19, 2007 - 01:13am
Jet Li was only retiring from doing traditional kung-fu movies, not movies.

Sackhoff Stays on BIONIC WOMAN - Jul 19, 2007 - 01:09am
The article says she's recurring on BW, when she wasn't before. Starbuck's still a major character on BSG.

Video Footage of JOKER & Bat's Ride - Jul 17, 2007 - 06:39pm
It's a skateboard. You can clearly see it when he turns around pillar.

BOND 23,SPIDER-MAN 4 & More Set - Jul 14, 2007 - 01:34pm
"What about Godzilla 3-D?! That is the only release that truly matters. " It's going to be a 45 minute IMAX 3D movie, if and when it ever gets made, and it's going to be Godzilla in costume only as the producers are renting a suit from Toho. Toho has nothing to do with it at all.

Dr. Manhattan Cast in WATCHMEN? - Jul 10, 2007 - 11:53am
I wonder if Jude Law is still petitioning to play Ozymandias?

Let's Talk CLOVERFIELD, Maniacs - Jul 07, 2007 - 07:24pm
I get the distinct feeling it's going to be something vaguely Biblical. I think the alphabet is supposed to be Enochian, which is the 'Angelic' language, and the rantings in the videos make it sound like we're being judged. Also, The Beginning is the End is a lot like "I am the Alpha and Omega."

THE LAST REMNANT Trailer - Jul 06, 2007 - 11:58am
baseless griping with poor grammar

New CLOVERFIELD Site Online - Jul 04, 2007 - 08:14pm
Interestingly enough, 1-18-08.com is owned by an individual named Henry Kelvin, but cloverfieldmovie.com is owned by Paramount.

Sega Exec Demands PS3 Price Cut - Jul 04, 2007 - 10:07am
With the number of successful first party franchises that Sony has, they're right when they say they don't really need that many exclusives.

KILL BILL 3, 4 Details Emerge? - Jun 27, 2007 - 11:02am
I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but the Hangzhou's City Express isn't exactly the most reliable source of news. They're more tabloid than that British tabloids, and have invented more than one story.

MARVEL Studio Head Talks Future Movies - Jun 25, 2007 - 07:51am
re: Antman I think that fact that Edgar Wright is developing Antman sort of shows what sort of take they're going with.

Six New HEROES Coming Soon - Jun 20, 2007 - 11:07am
"There's no posts on Kiefer Sutherland's iMDB message board wondering if he actually fights terrorists while never sleeping or eating." That's because he is too busy fighting terrorists while never sleeping or eating to give people the time to wonder.

White Sinks Teeth Into CASTLEVANIA - Jun 14, 2007 - 09:57am
Warren Ellis wrote the screenplay. Anderson is producing.

Ghost Rider! - Jun 13, 2007 - 11:20am
Sam & Max is on the way from Shout! Factory: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7479 As for buying the GR DVD again. It just came out, both versions, nobody's buying anything again.

HEROES Creators Form Smoking Gun - Jun 05, 2007 - 11:42pm
I guess you missed when Ron Moore made the BSG videogame comments. Y'see, there's this thing called media convergence, and quite frequently it results in people from TV doing work in video games, or vice-versa. (Like the show Sanctuary.) So, you can rest your smart little head knowing that just because the icon says video games, it'll be about video games, but it might not be somebody who normally works in video games.

New Line Pushes Ahead with KONG Project - Jun 05, 2007 - 12:33pm
"Do they plan on dramatizing it as a straight-up story?" No, they're probably planning it as a straight-up comedy, ala Dodgeball.

TEEN TITANS on the Move - Jun 02, 2007 - 10:42am
Akiva Goldsman, like John Rogers, gets a mostly unfair rap, as the films rarely turn out the way they were originally written. Rogers still gets it for Catwoman, but the character was still Selina Kyle when he was finished with it.

Haggis, Paul Haggis is Back on Bond - May 24, 2007 - 09:54am
"Crash was a very good movie. And whomever thought that the premise for it was that "everyone`s a little bit racist" obviously didn't get it." Actually, that was one of the major themes of the movie. Haggis himself has said as much.

Woo & Midway Team for Game - May 17, 2007 - 10:29pm
Hollywood, that's what.

Allen Advances to REDBELT - May 15, 2007 - 04:24pm

Warner Bros. Officially Announces RONIN - May 01, 2007 - 09:01pm
"I'm guessing it should actually be "New York" and not "Gotham"?" Gotham is one of New York's nicknames. "Genndy Tartakovsky! Please tell me you didn't rip this off for Samurai Jack?" He fully admits he did.

"Hot Fuzz" - Apr 20, 2007 - 01:19pm
The common thread with most of the reviews I've seen is that it's a very enjoyable movie, but it doesn't stand out as much as Shaun did and that they were expecting Shaun again, as opposed to a straight-out parody.

Laurence Fishburne to voice The Silver Surfer - Apr 19, 2007 - 08:13am
^ You weren't supposed to know about that yet.

Brendan Fraser joins "The Mummy 3" - Apr 12, 2007 - 05:52pm
The magic words here are "Miles Millar and Alfred Gough". They're the showrunners on Smallville, they co-wrote Spider-Man 2, and Gough wrote Shanghai Noon. Sure, Cohen's made some crap, but he also directed Dragon. If given a decent screenplay, he can pull it off.

Weinstein's to split "Grindhouse"? - Apr 10, 2007 - 07:26am
Karl, regardless of your seemingly personal grudge against Russell, the seeming lack of success shows that audience were looking for family fare on the Holiday weekend, not that he's any sort of box office poison. This next weekend will be the sign of whether or not Grindhouse has legs.

"Grindhouse" - Apr 07, 2007 - 01:01am
