Titan Books' TRANSFORMERS Collections

By: Rob Allstetter
Date: Wednesday, November 07, 2001

Titan Books, a leading publisher of graphic novels in the UK, has extended its deal with Hasbro to release collections of classic TRANSFORMERS material both sides of the Atlantic throughout 2002.

Titan will be focusing exclusively on the TRANSFORMERS line. Marvel Comics will continue with its plans to collect G.I. JOE material.

Following TRANSFORMERS: ALL FALL DOWN (collecting TRANSFORMERS #69-74) and TRANSFORMERS: END OF THE ROAD (culled from issues 75-80) are TRANSFORMERS: PRIMAL SCREAM (March 2002) and TRANSFORMERS: MATRIX QUEST (May 2002), which collect the stories from issues #56-68 and the Unicron story. Further volumes are planned for the second half of 2002.

"If I have my way, the Titan TRANSFORMERS program will just keep rolling on and on," TRANSFORMERS writer Simon Furman says. "We're at the tip of the iceberg stage, and even though 2002 promises to see my complete run back in print, there is still the original mini-series and all the many issues that writer Bob Budiansky penned. Right now, the sky's the limit and I am the happiest guy around."
