That Luc Besson film looks excellent.  Last French film that got me excited was Brotherhood of the Wolf.  Did you tube miss that boob shot in the trailer?

I'm on the fence about Singer.  I definitely enjoyed his X-men films.  Rattner screwed that trilogy up.  I'd be happy to see Singer do another one, but I also wouldn't mind seeing another take.  I just hope they can keep the same actors.  And please bring back Cyclops!

I'd go with Favre for Avengers.  Hulk was good but Iron Man was way better.

Good news about L.L.  I really dug his Incredible Hulk movie.  Clash of the Titans will probably make or break his chances.  I'm hoping for the best.  The trailer looks amazing.

Please, please, please let the Singer rumor be true.  Maybe they are reading the fan boards and seeing that he has worn out his welcome with most comic fans.  I've said it before in other threads, but even his X-men movies have not held up over time.  I liked them when they came out, but they do not even hold a candle to the recent releases; Batman Begins, Spiderman 1 & 2, The Dark Knight, Iron Man.  X-men 1 has some of the worst action sequences in any action film.  And, don't even get me started on how STUPID Superman Returns was!!!  Hand X-men over to one of the men from Hanso's director list!  Can you imagine Niel Blomkamp taking the helm of an X-men movie..think about it people.

ddiaz28 Favre said he does not want to do the Avengers because of all the highly unrealistic things that would happen in it.

evilbeagle, if Blomkamp got to do X-Men I would have a neardgasm so bad my head might just explode with joy.  He would make the grittiest and most bad ass X-men movie ever.  There is no way that it would not OWN.

Clash of the Titans is going to make huge bank.  People love that kind of stuff.  It is going to catapault LL into the big time.  Then Avengers wll make him a movie to comics God.  :)

If Clash is a hit Marvel will rush to nail Leterrier down for the Avengers.

X-Men- I don't care either way about Singer's involvement.  I can't believe the problems with X-men and X2 were all his fault given how X3 and Wolverine went without him.  Superman Returns was probably more his fault (and he admits it) but the biggest issue with that was Kate Bosworth as Lois.

Superman- Its too soon for Darkseid, especially if it's a complete reboot.  If Nolan follows his Batman Begins "MO" I'm guessing Luthor, Brainiac or Zod.  Now, if they follow the GL casting root, I'd say Toyman, Parasite or Metallo.  They could go completely original and go someone like Livewire but I doubt that'll happen...

Avengers- Lettier or Favreau should direct Avengers.  Depending how their respective movies go, I may add Branagh or maybe Johnston to the list.  In any case, I wouldn't bring in someone new...

OH YES!!! Singer possibly off XmEN!!! The Fox Producers must read Mania.com. hehe

And i agree Zack Snyder for X-MEN!!!! Zack Snyder for ALL comic movies!!!! I believe he has the best style for directing comic book movies!  Imagine X-Men if it looked like Watchmen and had its similar style. Dayamm.....

axia777-  yea it was a typo on my part i did mean Singer

DaForce1 3/22/2010 3:20:15 PM

Screw Leterrier.

I'd like to see Favreau for Avengers, but if that's not the case, then Marvel should snap up Vaughn right now before Kick-Ass hits the theaters. Because once it hits, Vaughn is going to be in high demand.
