Good question.
I like the plot. Sounds entertaining. But the clip just looks piss poor.

Plot Summary: "Inglourious Basterds" (sic) begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.
Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own...
Inglourious Basterds will hit theaters August 21, 2009.

I disagree with biased, I think the trailer looks absolutely amazing! Pitt's line about scalps at the end was a bit cheesy but other than that, i can't wait to see more...and I haven't been that onboard with Tarantino for quite a while, but this one has me excited...not too sure about casting some of his friends in big roles though, but let's see how it turns out.
The clip is just the first teaser it will continue to look better
the line about the scalps is not overdone for QT and this movie will, as hanso says, Own Son!
I wonder if the title change was so that the title could be displayed at "family" theaters without getting people's panties in a bunch...
