TMNT trailer hits web

The trailer for the upcoming film TMNT has hit the web. You can find the trailer here.

In the film, strange events are occurring in New York City, and the Turtles are needed more than ever, but Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo have become lost and direction less. With the city at stake, it's up to Leonardo and Zen Master Splinter to restore unity and ninja discipline to the Turtles.

TMNT is the popular abbreviation for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The film will release on March 30, 2007.

This looks interesting. The feel reminds me of the original black and white comics. I was hoping for some sort of seriousness a la the first TMNT feature film from the 80's. But hey, I plan on checking this one out regardless!

Looks pretty cool. I hope they keep the tone of what I've seen of the original comics. Very much a parody of other comics (powers from radioactive waste, the "Rextab" Building). Kind of tongue-in-cheek.

GOD SWEET HEAVEN!!! HELL YES!!!
I've been waiting and finally it's here and I'm not disappointed (despite it being a trailer) because I will be there the first day watching my childhood idols!!!!

My girl's kids are just getting into TMNT, and cheered when I showed them the trailer. We just watched the 80s movies recently and they loved it. I cringed when Vanilla Ice started rapping!

I rewatched the first TMNT movie a few months back and was really impressed with how good it was. Aside from a few expired jokes and some cheesy sequences, they had done an amazing job. I especially liked the "look" of the turtles (that sadly became far too cartoony in its sequel).

I agree with llkj18 that this one gives a feel of the original black and white comics. If they've taken that direction with this cartoon then WONDERFUL!!!

But, due to the two dismal TMNT sequel movies and a handful of TV cartoon series that dumbed them all down, I've been put off.

We'll see is this forthcoming film re-ignites my interest. It does look good so far.

Yes! The Turtles will be finally getting the screen treatment they deserve. I hated the live action films they just did'nt work for me. Judging from the trailer it has some of the feel of the orignal comic. CG animation seems to fit the characters better than live action or 2D animation.
