VARIETY reports that TNN will broadcast the VIDEO GAME AWARDS in a two-hour format sometime late in 2003.

The show will be a first for the network and for the video-gaming industry. The article notes the sector grossed $9.4 billion in 2001 and is predicted to do better this year.

Categories for the awards show will include best all-around badass, best free-for-all carnage, coolest villain, hottest heroine, and more.
