Over a year agothe Hollywood trades reported that the TNT cable net was looking to develop DCComics' Deadman as an original movie. The movie was said to be onthe fast-track and could serve as a series pilot.
Little else washeard about the project until this week when the Varietyannounced that the project may be heating up again. According to Variety'sreport Deadman is one of TNT's top candidates to serve as acompanion show for the highly-successful Witchblade. Sources forTNT and Warner Bros. TV confirmed the report, but said that the project is stillin the early stages of development.
Variety alsostates that show will follow the traditional action-adventure format and be"laced with special effects."
When the projectwas announced in August of 2000, Jason Pomerance was named as the writer. Thenew report gives no information about any creative attachments.
