Tom Cruise finds funding

Paramount may not have wanted Tom Cruise, but it didn't take him long to find someone who did.

Cruise and his producing partner Paula Wagner said Monday that they are joining forces with Daniel Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins; Dwight Schar, chairman of homebuilder NVR Inc.; and Mark Shapiro, president and CEO of Six Flags Inc., the amusement park chain where Snyder serves as chairman of the board.

Snyder, Schar and Shapiro have formed an investment partnership, First and Goal Llc., which will invest in Cruise/Wagner Prods., providing the actor-producer's production company with development and overhead funds under a two-year deal with the option to renew long term.

The deal gives Cruise and Wagner funds to make their own films, their own way. Still no word on what studio will distribute these films.

We all knew someone would end up funding him. It remains to be seen whether the product that he puts out will be any good and still put asses in the theaters.

Look for an inspirational come-from-behind movie starring Cruise as a renegade QB, who needs to fire up a dying football team the Columbia Blackhairs(more pc and he can look good in the eyes of the American Indians, like he tried with TLS).

Why didn't the Church of Scientology fund his movies? Could it be that his new kid doesn't have a high enough Theton level and they are pissed?

Too many people involved, I smell a legal fiasco and contractual nightmare, is all that's going to come out of this deal.

Haven't you heard, it's because Joe Gibbs won't come out of the closet.

Snyder may not be as dumb as we all thought. He caught hell for bringing back Joe Gibbs. Granted they have not set the NFC East on Fire but Gibbs is a winner. 3 Nascar Championships two Super Bowls. I know I have a rep for not being serious but sadly I am today. After long reflection I have decided to take things seriously and not make fun of people or just spew just to spew . This may work out for all parties.Six Flags has been a American Icon as has the Poorley named football team makes a profit yet is still rebuilding. This partnership will also have the benefit of Nascar . Nascar is second only to the NFL for viewership and is closing in on merchandising. So this may work. Tom needs to shut up about his relgious beliefs and finally do the sequel to Top Gun!!. It would be interesting to see how a elder Maverick at Top Gun School would deal with a new hot shot!
