Makeup specialist, actor and horror cameo icon, Tom Savini, has told Fangoria that he will be appearing in the beginning of LOST BOYS 2 as a surfer in a midst of vampires. This bit of news comes just a week after it was announced that Angus Sutherland (Keifer's half brother) would be the big villain in the sequel and both Coreys would also be appearing...

"I'm a surfer who runs into the vampires at the beginning of the film, in a sequence that is shot very Sergio Leone-style [à la the extreme close-up prologue of the director's classic 'Once Upon Time in the West']. They're shooting 'The Tribe' in Vancouver right now, and I'll be there September 11."

He also hinted that this sequel will not be a Direct-to-Video sequel as previously reported. There has been rumors popping up that this would be hitting theaters instead and Savini confirmed it would be a theatrical release. We need a studio confirmation on that one still so we get an idea if this will be a limited theater release (much like the After Dark horror films) or a wide release.

I just finished watching that show The Two Coreys on television and I think these two new actors have the potential to be the next Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. That show is the coolest show out now. Way better than The Office. It's Coreylarious.

Oh man, Mr. Jaw...

Your comment has me laughing in a pretty damn good Chucklicious way right now..

Thank you.

Yes, I see the day those two "new actors" surpass Damon and Affleck. I'll be rooting those two Coreys on in their return to the big screen.. :)

why didnt you post the Corey breaking down in front of the other Corey video? That always brings a smile to my face.

Haha ha ha..

Alrighty then, Mr. Jaw gets the Mania Comedic Award for this weekend. His comments make the time spent writing this article out all that much worthwhile!

Apologies Hanso, I'll be sure to include the "heartbreaking" video (lol) the next few times I have to write anything about the two Coreys. You can bet I'll stay on top of LOST BOYS 2 because I know how riveting the anticipation is for it.. :)

And, shortly after this news, the four horsemen of the apocolypse were spotted.

Were they riding "Bikes" as Mr. Gaiman wrote in a very hilarious little novel, Cappy?

I'd be down for Lost Boys 2, but it seems now like its a case of "too little, too late"... they waited 20 years to make a sequel and now theres a rush on to get this bad boy done and into theaters? thats a recipe for disaster if you ask me... kindal ike if they suddenly decided to make a sequel to Buckaroo Banzai after all these years and then decided to rush the script, and rush the production along so that the finished product would be a piece of shit.
Besides, with all the production delays for 24, Kiefer Sutherland can act in this too while he's waiting for 24 to pull its head out of its ass.
My big question is, will Alex Winter come back? that dude hasnt been in ANYTHING since 1999 (now apparantly he's broken back into Hollywood with "Saul of the Mole Men")
