TOMB RAIDER 3 Possible?

The Mirror (UK) is reporting Tomb Raider: Anniversary creator Ian Livingstone has said there could be a third installment in the franchise.

Livingstone noted,  "At this moment in time it’s still not green-lit, but the signs are there. Paramount have talked about the film for a long time, and I’ve had meetings with them. They’re willing to put a scriptwriter on board. Angelina Jolie has an option to do a third movie."

He is fairly confident that once executives see how successful the Anniversary PS2 game is, they'll be interested in exercising the option on Jolie for a third movie.

After the improvement from the first one to the second one, I would love to see a third one. Especially if they had a decent script and a better director.

I really didn't like either of them so I probably won't see this one either, Jolie is a good actress though and easy on the eyes.

I too thought they were both awful...they need to start fresh and bring in a new face for the title character, Angelina is not the only hot looking brunette in Hollywood although she does have the look of the game character or vise versa...

Why??? Is this just another effort to give Angelina Jolie more free money, just for the hell of it??? These are bad...no, very bad movies...if you can even call them movies. And Jolie was miscast for the role, from the get go, solely for her name value...and star power. Hell, she doesn't even move like she is really in physically great shape like you'd expect the charater to be in. Fact is, she's overly stiff and too thin. And the way she guards her moves, it's as if she's secretly guarding a serious back injury or something. A lite wind could blow Jolie over!!!

It's a shame, really...they could have created something truly special...but no, they just served-up garbage here!!!

I have to agree with Metalwater... I mean as soon as she punched the shark in the 2nd movie, I said this is crap and never watched again. The first one was tolerable, but the second one was just plain stupid.

metalwatero, I thought that box office performance was the ultimate indicator of a movie's quality.
I mean, grading on your Grindhouse curve, Tomb Raider must have been some sort of master stroke of modern cinema.

Not interested. The first installment was OK, but I never even bothered to watch the second.

Jessica Biel? Box Office performance my ass. If that was the case Spiderman would be Citizen Cane. Indeed.

The first movie was terrible, while the second was just bad. Maybe the third will be just ok.
