On June 11, 2001, Paramount Pictures and Mutual Film Company presented the premiere of the Simon West's big screen version of the TOMB RAIDER video game, starring Angelina Jolie. The event was held at Mann Village and Mann Bruin Theatres - Westwood Village.

Jolie herself was there, of course, dressed in her usual casual style, this time all in black. Coming up for Jolie is LIFE OR SOMETHING LIKE IT. Jolie is likely to also be reprising her Lara Croft role again for a TOMB RAIDER sequel.

The TOMB RAIDER premiere event saw cast member Daniel Craig attending.

Daniel Craig, who plays Alex West in the film, was there. Craig will next be seen in the upcoming ROAD TO PERDITION with Tom Hanks, Paul Newman and Jude Law.

TOMB RAIDER cast member Iain Glen was also there with his date. Glen will be appearing the cast of Jaume Balagueró's horror-mystery film, DARKNESS, alongside X-MEN's Anna Paquin.

Besides the cast and crew of TOMB RAIDER, other notable stars appeared at the event.

STAR TREK: VOYAGER's Jeri Ryan came arm in arm with significant other and ENTERPRISE executive producer Brannon Braga. Ryan also took some time to sign autographs for her eager fans. Next up for Ryan is a new regular gig on the Fox TV network's BOSTON PUBLIC.

DARK ANGEL co-stars and engaged couple Jessica Alba and Michael Weatherly attended the event, with Alba showing off her new engagement ring.

Among the other celebrities in attendance were BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER's Michelle Trachtenberg, Samuel L. Jackson, James Woods (whose voice can be heard in the coming FINAL FANTASY movie), Bill Paxton, James Van der Beek (DAWSON'S CREEK), Heather McComb (PROFILER) and Jennifer Blanc (DARK ANGEL}.
