You Too Can Be The Hulk

By: Kevin Leung
Date: Thursday, October 03, 2002

Actor Josh Lucas has been very forthcoming with details regarding Universal's The Hulk while doing press for his current film Sweet Home Alabama.

Speaking to the Dayton Daily News, Lucas continued his show of support and confidence in the film and its director, Ang Lee, "He's making a movie that could possibly be revolutionary is not the word, but it will be the state-of-the-art without question...Definitely above and beyond a movie like Spider-man in terms of its creativity, as much as I liked Spider-man. It's going to be very different, very dark."

Lucas sees a universality in the Hulk, relating the premise of the Hulk to everyone, not just to the Bruce Banner character, "It's the story of what repression does to someone, and how there's a Hulk inside all of us is very much something Ang talked about a lot. And how my character in particular was someone who had the least ability to control his Hulk."
