Wrath of Khan better make tomorrow's list...

@jetpack,
TOO TRUE Blazibg Saddles is GREAT, MAYBE even my top comedy of all time... "The Sheriff is near?"
I didn't realize it came out a year before MP Sft HG, BUT I feel the two endings, while similar, are still very different and very original in their own right.
BS broke the fourth wall reguarly throughout the movie, and at the end acknowledged it wa a film.
MP:SftHG just had a bizzare time warp of an ending... so abrubpt...
I love em' both
Hanso you covered them all, and kara with Blade Runner, and Darthduck...Wrath of Khan has to be on that list. We'll see in a short time where they all come out.
Wasn't the Abyss 80's as well? Cameron gets a couple of nods in the next one.
i have for the 80's in no particular order Aliens, Raiders of the lost arc, ST: Wrath of Khan, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Conan the Barbarian, Escape from NY, Blade Runner, Back to the Future, Terminator, ET. And honerable mention to Akira, Brazil, Dark Crystal, Tron, Ghostbusters, Highlander, Ladyhawke, Robocop, Starman, and ST:Voyage Home
Well heck, if you gonna add Westworld, then you might as well add Logan's Run too!
A pretty good list, I don't think I could change anything on it. The Godfather was a great film, but I was left a little off by it. Give me Apocalypse Now over it, or Deliverance or definitely the Warriors. Too bad Joan Baez had to ruin Silent Running. That could have been a contender if not for the brain tearing music.
The 80's. Sorry Bjordson, I would have to take the Beastmaster over Conan, and definitely Road Warrior/MadMax over Ladyhawke! And I'll go further and throw Outland and Batman to the mix.
Dude, the picture of Han Solo for this article says "10 Best Genre Films of the 1970s" they did the same yesterday with Genre films of the 60s and when they picked genre films for 2009.
