TOP 10 UPDATED: RINGS triumphs over BIG FISH
By: Patrick SauriolDate: Monday, January 12, 2004
Echoing its theme of tall tales that aren't true, Tim Burton's BIG FISH didn't claim the top spot at the box office last weekend as original estimates claimed. Instead, New Line Cinema's THE RETURN OF THE KING held on to the throne for its fourth straight week, besting Burton's FISH by over $400K.
COLD MOUNTAIN also moved up one spot to fourth, exchanging positions with SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE.
Here are the FINAL box office receipts of the top ten films from January 9 through to January 11, with their weekend gross and the movie's total domestic gross to date:
1. THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING $14,209,098 $312,320,936
