Witchbladecorrespondent Dex sends in a report from TheOmaha World Herald. Comic creator Michael Turner did an interview with thepaper. In it, he discussed the recently canceled Witchblade TVseries.
"I likedit. It was different from the comic book because they had to do thingsdifferently because of budgets and stuff," Turner said.
He went on tocomment on star Yancy Butler. "She was believable as Sara Pezzini. Theydidn't want some supermodel. She was believable as a cop. She has that rough,detective look. But she's still hot."
In spite of goodratings, TNT canceled the show. Fans have been working to encourage othernetworks to consider picking it up. They may be encouraged by Turner's nextcomments: "I don't think TNT wanted to be in the original-series businessanymore. We're shopping it around and have had some interested parties. I thinkit might resurface again."
