Top Ten Genre Broadcast TV Ratings (Nov. 12-18)

The return of ABC's ALIAS, after a one-week break, looks to have temporarily hurt the frosh TV series. The program landed in its lowest slot yet, in 60th place overall. Meanwhile, CBS' THE AGENCY continues to show stength, taking the second slot in genre programmming, though 43rd overall.
THE SIMPSONS, though, remains the king of genre programming, holding on to its top spot, which was also 29th in overall ratings.
THE X-FILES, though, looks to have lost some further steam, sliding down from its season opener losing over a million viewers in the process.
Still, X-FILES beat out the much ballyhooed 24, which landed in 5th spot, losing 2.8M viewers from its opener. Ouch.
Meanwhile, it looks like the early season ratings battle between ENTERPRISE and SMALLVILLE is over, with the latest TREK series winning out. ENTERPRISE showed a slight slide from last week, while holding on to its sixth slot, followed by DARK ANGEL and then SMALLVILLE. The latter looks to have lost 700,000 viewers from its previous week.
This last week also saw two episodes of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER showing on UPN. Tuesday was a new episode, which landed in the 9th slot. Friday saw a repeat episode, which landed in the ratings cellar, not making the top ten list.
In overall ratings, NBC's ER remains in its usual top spot.
