Did he have a problem with them having Thanos and the Infinty Gauntlet way back then? Why does he have a problem with it now? Oh yeah, money.

Of course he had no problem taking the paycheck back then. I'm sure he had no problem using characters other people created to tell his own stories while they received no compensation. Ironically, comic book creators will be the death of the industry.

Give him 50 bucks to reimburse him for the price of the movie tickets and some pop-corn.

I am sure a lot of artist reach into their portfolios when they are working on projects, but then you used that idea when working for Marvel so its your loss. Probably the only way a lot of their art see the light of day

 Yeah.  I mean come on.  If you go to work for a comic publisher and use characters in THEIR books, I don't see how you would expect to retain the rights to those characters unless you had something in writing up front.  That was what they were paying you for back then, sheesh.

Usually when you work for a company there is an agreement that you are creating things for them. that is both implied by accepting a job and can also be put in writing.

either way i dont see how this guy should get anything unless marvel decides to be nice.

 The Infinity Gauntlet is in FOUR frames of Thor. You can be actively looking for it onscreen and still miss it.  

These creators with their hands out are getting absurd.  I'm an industrial designer.  Anything I create while employed at a company belongs to that company.  If I came up with something before working there, and then submit that earlier design, it becomes fair game to them.  If I want to retain the rights to my designs, I simply don't submit it. These guys get no sympathy from me.

Yeah, this isn't like the Schmacher issue with Superman...that issue was DECADES in the making.  The timing of this is just highly questionable.  Marvel Comics itself has been making money just fine for years...oh, but watch out...now they're owned by DISNEY!  That's where the REAL money is.  Dick.
