Summit Entertainment has released a new RED BAND trailer for the Ethan Hawke thriller Sinister. It is the latest horror film from director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose). Sinister also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, James Ransone, Fred Dalton Thompson, Nicholas King, Clare Foley, Victoria Leigh, Juliet Rylance and Michael Hall D’Addario.

The Plot: A true crime novelist (Hawke) struggling to find his next big story moves his family into a house where the horrific murder of an entire family took place. The movie will be released in theaters by Summit Entertainment on October 5th, 2012.

This actually looks pretty good. My wife and I love horror and have been let down a lot the past few years. Hopefully this delivers a good scare for Halloween and kills the Paranormal Activity franchise.

Wow, another "I found creepy home movies in the basement then weird sh!t went down after I watched them" movie.  ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!

2 questions 1- The trailer says Oct 12 why does Bob have Oct 5 as the release date?  2- Why is this a "redband" trailer? They don't show anything you can't show in a pg13 film. Or did they just want to show the word "fuck" by any means?

Anyway I think it looks creepy enough and having Ethan Hawke gives it some validation so I'll probably see it

red band just means it can't be broadcast on television because THE TRAILER (not the movie) isn't appropriate for all ages.

Not big on the horror genre but I might check this out. Definately looks better than the Saw rehash that is called the Collection.
