Will it be any good?

After it premiered on Entertainment Tonight, the trailer for World War Z went viral. Here is the trailer for your viewing pleasure. What is seen here doesn’t look terrible. It is just all those in development hell stories that makes us skeptical.
The Plot: “The story revolves around United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Pitt), who traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.”

World War Z is based on the Max Brooks penned book of the same name that tells an Oral History of the Zombie War.  The film stars Brad Pitt, Eric West, Matthew Fox, David Morse, James Badge Dale, Mireille Enos, David Andrews, Elyes Gabel.

World War Z is directed by Marc Forster, and the film is set to be released in theaters on June 21, 2013.

My main complaint is that they're using the title of the book and pretty much means we won't see a true adaptation in the near future, which btw needed to be done as a series since the book works more like an anthology.

Having said that I must admit that I like what I see. It's a bit of a change from the normal zombie flicks. And I'm digging that whole avalanche of zombies thing they're doing. I'm in

Maybe it's just me, but this looks like a pass for me.  May not be as bad as I Am Legend, but it looks along the same lines.  Of course, I've never been a fan of the "fast" zombie either.

Looks pretty cool to me. So cool that I may watch it when it arrives on Netflix.

This looks good so far but agree with Wise that it looks nothing like the book.  This would have been perfect as a show on one of the cable networks but with Walking Dead already being on that might have been one too many zombie shows.

 Looks pretty entertaining to me.

I really like what I see. I love fast zombies, slow zombies, zombies in Hover Rounds....This looks like quite a different take on the genre and when it shows them scaling the wall like a bunch of ants just blows me away.

Agree with the comments that this looks interesting, but there is not even a passing resemblance to the book.

I still find the story behind the production of this movie to be far more interesting than the movie itself.  Zombies haven't ever struck me as interesting villains in a movie anyway, but knowing this movie was essentially written, shot, and directed twice fascinates me.  I'd be curious to see what the original version of this film was supposed to look like and compare it to the second version.

This look amazing!  I'll be there first in line come June 2013.  And Yeah, I read the book and it is different, but you have to understand that the book is retelling the facts many years after.

The movie is going to take us right into the action!  Can't wait!

I always loved the different takes on zombies.  This seems to be something that I haven't seen before with them as a moving force.  I agree with flyinroo on this completely.
