Townsend Joins League?

Mere days ago, IGN Film Force reported that the role of Tom Sawyer in Fox's upcoming The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had gone to Shane West. West's imminent involvement was then confirmed by the Hollywood trades. Now, FilmForce is saying another role has been cast in the project.
FilmForce is reporting that Stuart Townsend will be joining the cast in the role of Dorian Gray. The site previously reported that Townsend was in contention for the character from Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray. Gray is a young gentleman who stays forever young, while his portrait ages and shows the signs of his decadent lifestyle.
While Gray was not in the original Alan Moore comic, he is reportedly in the follow-up series.
Also mentioned in the FilmForce article is that the role of Mina Harker in League will go to either Saffron Burrows (as previously rumored) or Monica Bellucci, who was reportedly up for the role of Elektra in Daredevil.
