Toy Fair Revisited - Sideshow Toy

CINESCAPE's coverage of New York City's 2002 Toy Fair continues with a bunch of photos taken at the Sideshow Toy display. The company is another standout in the world of action figures and high-end collectibles, and they've grown increasingly geared to the serious collector in recent years with figures based on the Universal Classic Monsters, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER.
Several new genre licenses have been acquired by the company recently, including all the James Bond films (look for figures based on all five of the Bond actors plus key villains and Bond girls), Oliver Stone's PLATOON, THE MUPPET SHOW and the classic TV series THE OUTER LIMITS and THE TWILIGHT ZONE. And let's not forget the teaming of Sideshow with Weta Collectiblesthe New Zealand company who are creating the props, armor and make-up for Peter Jackson's LORD OF THE RINGS films. The result of this teaming has resulted in some of the finest collectibles on the market. And it looks as though that's the way it's going to be for Sideshow in the near future as well, judging by their Toy Fair display this year.
