Could Darth Maul truly be the best and most fearsome villain in the Star Wars Saga? His time was literally cut short by Obi-Wan Kenobi, but he did have a great run in the Expanded Universe. In celebration of May the Fourth, we thought we would bring you 10 of Maul’s most sought after collectibles. By going the “collectible” route we can escape a lot of happy meal toys and focus on the finer items.

10. Darth Maul – Shadow Hunter Novel

How did Maul get to where he was in the Phantom Menace? “Shadow Hunter”, a novel by Michael Reaves, is a fun and quick read in the style of old Sci-Fi pulp books.
9. Darth Maul MIMOBOT

The what? Mimobot is a company that makes designer flash drives. Now, flash drives are getting to the point where they are a dime dozen. However, do you really want a plain old boring drive? No. Check out the Mimobot site and pick how many GBs you want Maul to carry.
8. Star Wars Tales Comic #9

It was a show down fans wanted to see since the first Episode 1 trailer. Leave it to the great minds of Dark Horse Comics to have it actually happen. Penned by Ron Marz and having multiple covers, this was the issue to read from the short-lived anthology comic. The ending is perfect and captures what the winner exactly thinks of himself. Check out the issue available for digital download on DarkHorse.com
7. Darth Maul Coffee Mug

Star Wars Episode 1 was a juggernaut of products. Sadly, many of them we’re as thrilling as Jar Jar’s dialogue. For every 10 Jar Jar inspired items there was one cool Darth Maul product. The coolest of the mugs was by far the head of Darth Maul. Designed by Applause, it is essential for the Sith Lord’s dark brew.
6. 12" Electronic Talking Action Figure - Darth Maul

12 Electronic Talking Action Figure Darth Maul

There was an earlier 12-inch Darth Maul, but he was kind of frumpy. This one not only had the demonic snarl, but came with lightsaber swinging action and sound effects.
5. Darth Maul (Final Duel)

There are plenty of Darth Maul figures by Hasbro since the first one. This is the best of the line. Simplistic and cunning, no other Maul shines better than this one.
4. Darth Maul Animated Maquette

Again, we have to look to outside the movie paraphernalia for another great collectible. Gentle Giant released this version of Darth Maul, shirtless and using his dark force lighting. A great look for Maul and different from what we will probably see in the Clone Wars series.
3. Darth Maul with Mechanical Legs

Before it was ever mentioned that Darth Maul would return to the Star Wars Universe, Sideshow Collectibles released a premium format figure of Maul with mechanical legs. Limited to 1250 pieces, this Sideshow Collectible is best sought after online or at Comic Book shows.
2. Darth Maul and his Sith ship Bloodfin

Gentle Giant products might come with a hefty price tag, but the craftsmanship is totally worth it. This release is from 2008 so it might be a tad harder to find (check here). Until now, I never new the Sith Speeder Bike had a name, Bloodfin.
1. Darth Maul Legendary Scale

Sideshow Collectibles is already taking orders for a 40 inch tall Darth Maul that supports their new “Legendary Scale”. The price is up there, but the details are amazing. This might be the finest figure they have ever created in relation to how much screen time he actually had.

I have the original Sideshow premium format figure. I'm not as enamored with him as some so I never bought the  cyborg edtion.

I recently placed an order for the legendary scale Wolverine to accompany my 40inch IronMan. Darth Maul won't quite fit in

I have a few Maul things.  Key chain, action figure signed by Ray Park, 12" figure, card board standee, and a jar similar to the ceramic thing above.  I guess thats more than a few things.

I've got the Darth Maul Unleashed figure, which is really cool looking.  More of a statue than an action figure, but it looks awesome.  Admittedly, it looks less awesome in a box in the closet with all the rest of my Episode I stuff.  I generally try to pretend TPM didn't happen.

I need some help with a Darth Maul toy I had as a child. It was roughly between 12 and 18 inches tall and it wasn't plastic. It was rather squishy actually. like a stretch armstrong. I have no idea how to find it.  Everywhere that I've looked, all I find are plastic or acryllic. If anyone has even heard of a toy similar to the one I'm describing, your input would be greatly appreciated.
