TRAILER: Gearing up for THE MACHINIST

Apple has placed the trailer for Christian Bale's next film, THE MACHINIST, as well as a behind-the-scenes clip from the making of the film on its trailer website. Bale plays Trevor Reznik, a gaunt man suffering from insomnia who works in an industrial machine shop. When a new worker enters the shop, Trevor's anxiety level ratches up, causing a momentary lapse in judgement that results in a gruesome accident. Now ostracized by his co-workers and eaten by guilt, Trevor begins to suspect that everything that's been happening to him isn't random chance. Someone is playing a game with him, someone that wants to hurt him, someone who can get into his apartment at any time and leave him Hangman notes on his refrigerator door. Michael Ironside, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Aitana Sanchez-Gijon and John Sharian also star in the film.

Directed by Brad Anderson (SESSION 9) and written by Scott Kozar (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE), THE MACHINIST is set to open on October 22.
