True that, True that.

GM bots indeed... (sigh).  Go product placement. At least they renamed the Volt "Jolt."

Also, does anyone else think a transformer shouldn't be named "the Doctor" unless it turns it a blue police box?

What? no HotRod? and why wasn't MegaTron's name on the list?

killerville 4/3/2009 12:07:16 PM

For God's sake, can anyone tell me how it feels to chew 5 gum?!?

So "The Fallen" is a character,  and not those that lost in the previous film or is that some kinda "Fallen" from grace thing?

Last report I heard (can't recall where) is that the list isn't complete, that there are going to be something like 60 robots total in the film. If I can find the story again I'll pass it on.

GM gets to make the good guys because they're paying a ton of money for it. I seem to recall Michael Bay making comments that their support shaved several million off the production costs on the first film.

Having established with Ravage and Scorpinok that Transformers can emulate organic lifeforms as well as machines, I wonder if we will see Dinobots introduced in the next movie (or maybe even eluded to in this one).

It wouldn't be hard to do.  Maybe some Autobots crash landed on Earth looking for the criminal Megatron and after exiting their craft adopted the likeness of the native lifeforms (dinosaurs).  When they finally did find Megatron frozen in ice maybe they cause a cave-in trying to get him out and became trapped themselves.  Maybe they were trapped several hundred feet below where Megatron was found and that's why Sam's grandfather didn't find them as well.

Now, in the present, the Autobots need something to counter the Decepticons superior numbers and firepower (a.k.a. the Constructicons) and further analysis of the site where Megatron was discovered reveals that a faint energy source (a rescue beacon?) is emanating from beneath the ancient ice.....BUM-BUM-BAAAWWWWMMMM!!!!  Don't steal my idea without asking, Michael Bay!

Yep, GM paid a ton of cash to be represented in the film as the good guys and increase their possible sales when the film gets released.

All kind of moot points if they can't bounce back and go bankrupt instead.

Killerville, nice to see you around here (milk lover).  I laughed right away at your comment and knew exactly what you were saying.  That's a lot of frickin robots, I bet there will be one huge battle at the end.

I still want Galvetron though.  Or however you spell that.  And Yeah, Hotrod.

killerville 4/3/2009 1:16:33 PM

Hey, good to see you to, bro...And Im with you on Hot Rod as long as it doesnt lead to a Rodimus Prime story in later installments
