Want to see some original concept art, which was drawn for last summer's Transformers? Well, if you do, you're in luck. Conceptual artist Tim Flattery has posted 15 shots of art originally drawn for the first installment directed by Michael Bay. While some of the shots did make the final cut into the film, others were omitted like the aircraft carrier scene. Bay, who was impressed, said some might make it into the sequel while executive producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told media the opposite.

The sequel is currently in production with director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg hoping to get external principal photography done before any potential SAG strike causes issues for Hollywood in late July. The sequel will star Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson. Bay is once again behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will hit theaters June 26, 2009.

Could this be an example of disinformation from Bay's camp for the sequel? The aircraft carrier images are astounding and would make for an intense scene in the film. I figure the conflicting reports between Bay and di Bonaventura are intentional and are meant for the fans to debate it over between now and next summer. I for one hope they are included in the movie!

Looks like early concept art for the first movie. The helicopters and them hanging from the bridge was already in the first movie, so I'd say this is old stuff.

The Robot walking over the Tree's is Megatron clearly since it's all concept art from the 1st movie.

I think we saw these when the first movie came out. I'm guessing it's disinformation, as rgtchtiger said.

That carrier art scene looks like something from the game Crysis. If anyone remember's the game when the carrier get's attacked. The one character walking over the forrest looks like Megatron.

There is a hidden pic it seems. if you click the next arrow twice (to begin loading the third image) and then click the image above the arrow to see full screen you will see a pic of a rescue vehicle called Serenity. Is that old too?

Hmm...seems if you do the little trick i mentioned and then change the number in the address bar (http://timflattery.com/serenity/3.html) you can view from 1 to 8. Is this just Serenity art?

Beautiful concept art whether for T1 or T2 (not that I'm comparing the "amazing images but inane plot" Transformers to the original "back to the past" T2).
