Well, I HATE Michael Bay as a director, but even Trey Parker of South Park and Team America had this to say about him: "The guy can make a f*ckin' action movie!" I have to believe that with Speilberg producing and Dreamworks releasing it that it won't be total trash.

"I don't recall Temple of Doom having a PG-13 rating." You're right. As mentioned before, Temple of Doom was the REASON they created PG-13.

I just can't wait for this, but I guess I won't take my 7 year old son along.

The MPAA has been going too far, or they're just mocking those god damn parents who went out of line, calling for "less violence" and all that wimpy bull!!! Intense action violence? What the hell is that? I guess the action is pretty good. Espeically with the bots. When I was 7, I saw even the Rated [R] flicks. No big deal, I knew the difference between fantasy and reality. (the one fault many parents have when introducing films, which is why they Blame the medium on whatever dumb kid might immitate it). besides, it's all just ART WORK. People are so damn sensitive about film these days, it's pathetic. Back in the 80's, much of what was rated PG would now be PG-13. What was once PG-13 is now R. Ghostbusters was PG, they exclaimed the word "S- -T" (crap). And there's been nudity in PG flicks... which is definitely not a big deal (hey, a woman's body is nothing evil, besides, they're not doing anything sexual, plain nudity is artwork). the ratings, films, whatever, it's becomign such a damn big deal to pathetic parents who in turn, are damaging the minds of their very children (if you make them too sensitive, whiny, soft, nice, they'll get nowhere). so to conclude my speratic, back and forth, random message.... what's the big deal? It's just a movie, the MPAA goes too far, and just the mentioning of Rated [R], has only peaked my interest in this movie adaption.

Actually, the first movie to garnish a PG-13 rating was " The Flamingo Kid", with Matt Dillion, but because it was shelved for a little bit, "Temple of Doom" was the first movie to be released in the theatres with a PG-13 rating. Just FYI.....and as for Michar Bay, he is the pinacle action director, now that McTiernan and Woo can't seem to make good movies. Love his movies or hate them, his action sequences are like a beautful ballet of destruction and carnage. I am so excited for the Transformers movie i want cut off my cock and put an Optimus Prime action figure there and play with it non-stop. " I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, 'I drank What??!!!'."

dragon261 - if I am correct, and someone correct me if I am wrong, I thought the PG-13 rating was created because of Gremlins and not Temple of Doom
