TRANSFORMERS Revisit Military Base

It seems that director Michael Bay just can't get enough military devices into his Transformers film. The first installment was thick with the military element and this sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has incorporated a lot of the same theme going by previous set reports. One of the first production locations announced earlier this year was Holloman Air Force Base in southern New Mexico. The Air Force Times report that production has moved back to the base a few months later.

Last week, hundreds of airmen showed up for a movie casting call at the base.

Parts of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" are set to be filmed in Alamogordo, N.M., home to Holloman. Scenes from the first "Transformers" were shot at Holloman in 2006 and featured aircraft such as the CV-22 Osprey and MH-53 Pave Low.

"About 200 people will be hired as extras to portray military members," Maryellen Aviano, extras casting coordinator for DreamWorks Pictures, said in an Air Force news release.

Meanwhile, screenwriter Roberto Orci has been answering direct questions to fans on a Transformers messageboard. If you'd like to know whether Jazz is coming back or if he's truly dead (and more), click here. The sequel will star Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas, Rainn Wilson and Jennifer Alden. Bay is once again behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will hit IMAX and standard theaters June 26, 2009.

I totally love all of Bay's movies....I know, I know, but the guy can blow shit up like no one else, and I like his visual style. He always comes up with creative ways to get shots. Like the shootout scene in Bad Boys II, where the camera is just going round and round. That was awesome. If this sticks with the recent trend of Hollywood sequels, this should be much better than the first.

PS Jarrod, that link to the dudes homepage, seems to be a link to nowhere, unless it's my computer.

Link went nowhere, just like Shita LaBlah's career!

No mention of the Bethlehem Steel site two feet from my apartment as a Chinese military base in T2?

Whiskey, I'm with you on Bay with the exception of Pearl Harbor.

Amish, you didn't manage to get any spy shots?

I don't go to a Bay movie expecting Oscar-caliber acting, or a complex Hitchcockian plot filled with twists and turns. But damn if the man doesn't know how to make an entertaining action movie filled with Giant F-ing Robots!

PIGFORMERS is filed with more poor art work so She ra wont fear them messing up his hair. Glad Bay can feel accomplished using 2o year old animation that worked better with Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Michael Bay walks into a bar and says give me a Shera Leboob.
The Bartender says what's a She LeBoob?
Michael Bay says you give a 20 year old Albino Malaysian Transexual a sugar free Red Bull and while it's gagging from the after taste you jam its hand up a cokehead director's ass and break it at the wrist and tell it that it can act while enjoying a torn anus.
