Atari Games has launched the website for its upcoming TRANSFORMERS video game, slated for release on the PlayStation 2 in just two months.
Previously known as TRANSFORMERS: ARMADA, the game places you in the metal boots of either the heroic Autobots or the evil Decepticons in a war to control the future of both their home planet, Cybertron, as well as the fate of the Earth. Decepticon leader Megatron has created a new race of soldiers called the Decepticlones, overwhelming the Autobots in sheer number and ferocity. Autobot leader Optimus Prime counters by answering a signal from Earth annoucing the discovery of the long-lost Minicons, minature Autobots that want to join Cybertron's civil war. With the two robot factions now on Earth, the battle is on.
While there is only a small selection of material to choose from at the official website, interested readers can download the game's trailer, check out 20 different screenshots and scan two character profiles. The site will be updated in the weeks leading up to the game's release.
