Traue Boards SEVENTH SON

A week after Legendary Pictures signed "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harington to jump on board The Seventh Son, the production company has enlisted Antje Traue into their upcoming adaptation of "The Wardstone Chronicles." Variety reports the Pandorum star who will next appear as Kryptonian Faora in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel will star opposite Harington, Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes, Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander. Helmer Sergei Bodrov is leading the direction, based on a screenplay by writers Matt Greenberg and Chuck Leavitt. With this being based on a six-part series by author Joseph Delaney, Legendary Pictures is banking on some franchise potential here.

Plot Concept: Based on Delaney's "The Spook's Apprentice", the story centers on  Thomas J. Ward, the seventh son of a seventh son, born in the 1700's with supernatural abilities and who furthers his training with the help of a learned "Spook."

The Seventh Son arrives in theaters on February 15, 2013.
