I mean come on......the suits in crappywood really aren't even trying anymore.
Sure, remakes is the cheap easy way to make movies now but the Toxic avengers?
What's next, Killer Klowns from Pluto???

I realize that Troma films have a cult following but talk about garbage!! Truly a sad day for movie enthusiast all over the world if this is the best ideas that the studios can come up with. "I know, we have remade a majority of movies on our sub-par A list let's dive into the B list and see what gems we can get!" I wouldn't even watch this new version of the Toxic Avenger on Netflix... Time to make some home popcorn and enjoy a book.
I've got to agree with you, jedibanner. What the hell are the idiots in crappywood thinking? This is as bad of an idea as it was to try, stressing the word "try" to remake the snore fest that was the remake of Friday the 13th. I'm not going to waste my time or money to bother to watch this crappy remake. John Travolta is a much better actor than to associate himself with this box office bomb.
Can't think of one positive thing that could come of this shit pot idea, except that it keeps people working.
TA was a fun crazy over the top C moviewith a sick sense of humor for its time.
I'll wait and see I'm not ready to dismiss it off hand right away. The concept isn't too far from a lot of superheroes. Mayb e they're going for a spoof on that or maybe they want to play it straight and make it a more main strem film.
I know there's some sort of Toxic-Avenger-Travolta-gaygrab-a-masseuse's package joke in here somewhere, but feeling a lil slow this morning.....
You know, if this is done as a comedy, it could be very funny. Everyone complains about remakes of good films, so why not remake some terrible ones and see if if they can do something with it. I have no problem with it at this time.
Can't be any worse than 90% of the crap that gets green lit these days. Who knows, maybe they'll catch lightning in a bottle here.
Uh, ok.
