The Sci-Fi Channel keeps coming on strong with its development of new projects, and its latest benefits from a team-up by two of the genre's best-known creators. X-MEN helmer Bryan Singer and INDEPENDENCE DAY producer Dean Devlin have come up with an idea for an eight-hour mini-series about the strange experiences that happen to people inside the Bermuda Triangle. What's it called? Try TRIANGLE.
Speaking to Variety, Sci-Fi Channel's president Bonnie Hammer said that Singer and Devlin's project will be strong on characterization as well as have cool FX. "It will involve people who've gone through a number of different experiences with the Bermuda Triangle who come together and decide to confront the mystery," commented Devlin to the trade magazine.
The duo are hammering out the story specifics right now. No estimated airdate was given; at the very least the show is probably a couple of years away from reaching our TV tubes.
