I'm assuming Warner Bros. have changed their minds about pushing the release date for TRICK 'R TREAT to 2008. Last week, it was announced the horror film was pushed back to next year from it's original October 5th release date for unknown reasons. This drew the ire of the horror community around the web.

Ryan Rotten at Shocktilyoudrop asked Warner Bros about it and apparently, the movie is back to its October 5, 2007 release date.

Plot Summary: The movie is split into 4 stories all occurring on Halloween night. An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.

The film stars Bryan Cox, Anna Paquin, Dylan Baker, Leslie Bibb & Moneca Delain. Michael Doughtery directs it.

I'm actually looking forward to this flick, and I"m glad they moved it to an October release. Call me a crazy traditionalist, but I prefer to see holiday-related movies released during their corresponding seasons.

I want to see this one, too, snallygaster. When I heard they changed the release date, I thought that was steaming pile of crap. But it's good they moved it back to October, at least for now, until they decide to move it to the Summer of '08.

The Halloween season needs at least one good horror movie, so I'm glad this is getting released in October. I still wish Zombie's revisionist "Halloween" was getting released on Halloween, but I guess they want to get some of the summer box office cash.

Although I'm not a horror fan, this sounds interesting enough to get me into the theater. It will help if I'm in the Halloween mood, and that mood generally occurs around...
Well, not early spring, anyway.

I think this movie sounds great. I am glad to see they have enough confidence in it to put it back in October. But by then, they pull it again. Who knows. I mean, was't Sunshine supposed to be out in like April or something?

At first I thought this was a remake of that really bad 80's flick where the rock star commits suicide and then starts sending subliminal messages to one of his hands by way of him playing the records backwards. Anybody remember this flick?

Anyway, obviously not a remake, and I'm glad for it. Still, I'm not sure the plot summary is enough to get me in the theatre. Pretty decent names in the cast though. Bryan Cox and Anna Paquin are names worthy of attention. Is there a trailer anywhere for this?

I remember that movie, own it as well, it was awesome!! Kinda wish they had remade it just so we could get a kick ass metal soundtrack to it.
