At Anime Expo 2009 today, Madhouse premiered their trailer for the feature length film of Trigun that is now likely due out this year in Japan. Talk of the movie began all the way back in 2005 with word that it would premiere in 2007, but it never got off the ground until more recently. An attendee at the convention got the full length trailer captured on their iPhone and has posted it to YouTube. It's unclear whether this is in the same continuity as the TV series itself or a separate world of its own with the same familiar characters back for more fun.

This trailer doesn't really do anything for me. It looks neither action-packed nor hilarious.
Of course, I'm one of the few people who doesn't seem to be a fan of the original anime, which I found to be a poorly executed exploitation of a fantastic manga property. So maybe I'm biased :-)
