i think trigun is a great series but i keep waiting for both k-on and Dual! parrallel trouble adventure to be announced

While we hear from different companies over the last several months to not expect any more of the old Geneon/Pioneer licenses to get rescued, it seems like a few are still tricking through. Case in point today as FUNimation offered a Valentine's Day gift to anime fans by announcing the acquisition of the Trigun TV series (noting at the con that it is the remix version) for release in 2010 on both DVD and Blu-ray. They were clear that they do not have the movie, which is premiering in Japan in April of this year. But having the TV series certainly can't hurt their chances.

Throw in the Gungrave license and perhaps these are chess pieces to help them get the movie.
