I'm in.  I loved the original.  I loved the sequel.  Bring me more Grid!!

If Disney hadn't just purchased Lucasfilm, I would understand going ahead with a third Tron.  As it is though, it doesn't seem to make much sense.  Tron: Legacy was made by Disney to tap into the boys market, which they have always had a difficult time with.  Once boys grow too old for Winnie the Pooh and Toy Story, they've always moved on to non-Disney stuff like Star Wars, Marvel, DC and whichever Japanese dueling game is "in" this year.  Tron just doesn't have the popularity to make any headway against what's already there, as evidenced by their presence on the clearance racks and discount bins.  Sure, boys will go see the movie and have a good time, but that's all.  They don't give a pair of fetid dingo's kidneys about Tron toys, t-shirts, lunch boxes, etc., and that's where the real money is.  Disney's money would be better spent on franchises that are able to perform in all branches of merchandising.

Wyldstaar not every single film produced by Disney is meant as a toy promotion. Obviously there are many possibilitites here but that's a plus not the end game.

Sure.  The first two were silly fun.  Maybe they can bring back the Dude.

Tron Legacy made more money than J. J. Abrams' Star Trek but nobody questioned whether or not they should make a sequel to that movie.

That's a good point wallyus. Tron had more international appeal than the reimagined Trek.

@Dazzler...Not often I agree with you but in this case more games would be rocken with the intro of new games through either vehicles of some sort or hand to hand combat with different types of weapons...Could be pulled off in the same way Gladiator was done and still have a good story to tell, first and fore most of course...

Who ever it was that mentioned cross over from grid to real world, that would be just as cool...
