I'm kind of surprised this episode got a C.  Rather generous, I think.  I'm honestly not sure I want to see it next week, as silly as this episode was.  When the hell does Game of Thrones start back up?!

I cant say True Blood has lost its way. its still better then most shows. all this nagging and hating is frivolous. dont like it, do it yourself! (and someone will critisize you too). its one thing to dislike an aspect of the show but to nitpick the whole thing is just lazy. though, The whole Lafayette as a medium storyline ended badly,  seemed like a hocky version of "highway to heaven". it was weak and didnt feel like true blood.

Fiona Shaw is still the highlight of the show  like Michelle Forbes and Denis Ohare were in their seasons. i know it wouldnt happen, but wouldnt it be cool if they all came together like a 'legion of doom' of true blood.

I think the point is that the show has more silly points than good points right now, norseman72.  If I may retort, I think the whole "don't like it, do it yourself" argument is lazy also.  I don't think anybody here works in Hollywood, and neither do most critics.  That's why they're critics and not artists.  

What I didn't like about this episode:

Sookie's ridiculous dream sequence (hot red lingerie not withstanding)

As you said, the conclusion of the Lafayette subplot (I'm hoping it will serve some purpose later; perhaps it takes a powerful medium to defeat a powerful medium?...)

I just hate Tara in general...bitch gets on my nerves.

Jessica's Hoyt and Jason drama.

Nice guy Eric is starting to wear pretty thin...the tool is actually a tool (of the witches) apparently.

While Fiona Shaw is the highlight of the show, she can't hold an accent to save her life.  Seriously, sometimes she sounds Spanish, sometimes Southern, and occasionally her British accent even leaks through.  Honestly, not her best performance, IMO.

And now, just to be fair...

What I like about the show right now:

I'm glad Jason didn't become a werepanther.

I like seeing Jason being the responsible one for once - I see him becoming sheriff.

The concept of vampires hiding in plain sight in positions of church power was pretty cool.

 To clarify, wasn't trying to sound like a douche.  The reason I think your "don't like it, do a better job" is lazy is because that sounds like something somebody with no valid defense would say, know what I mean?

I hear you guys on being negative a little too much, my bad, I'll tone it back some. I'm just frustrated that what once had such potential has become as I think Rob said a "cliffhanger of the week" along with Hanso's perfect statement "it's just there". That's how the show has been lately, and that's how I found BB, it was during another point of slowness when I was surfing.

Wish, as for Justified, I do believe you are in that answer :) Can a fan be happy for the success of someone? If so, it's me for Timothy Olyphant. I remember seeing the guy in early stuff like Go & Gone in 60 Seconds, and he had that 'Bill Paxton" type quality about him, as if his day would one day come. And then he gets Justified and The Crazies, which was a great tension thriller/semi-scary film. I'm happy for the man, and look forward to his next film role.
