Viral "VILF" Poster for HBO's season 3 of TRUE BLOOD(2010).

HBO has unleashed their second viral poster for the upcoming season 3 of "True Blood." You can check out this latest-- titled "VILF"--down below along with the original poster revealed earlier last week. You can also check out the premium cable channel's first promo video for the next season down below.

The two posters are part of a 12-part weekly advertising series to promote the vampire drama, months in advance of the show's planned June 13 return. The teaser campaign coincides with HBO re-airing Season 2.

"We're starting pretty far out and striving to empower the show's rabid fan base with key pieces of content," said Courteney Monroe, executive vp consumer marketing at HBO.

Where's the promo video boys?  Looking forward to the new season either way.  The first poster is clever.  Not sure I like the VILF one.  Too red.

When I saw this on the main page, I thought it was Vs I'd Like to ____

I may have to order HBO again for a few months at least.

VILF is the best they could do? Weak... Aside from the oversaturation of vampire shows I'm looking forward to season 3. I just hope we have not seen the last of Anna Camp!

You are quite correct, Lusiphur.  It's just not Visitors, it's Vampires..

Looks like I'll be getting HBO for the woman and I coming up soon.

I'm curious on how much of the book they will follow on this. Either way, should be cool.

A few months?  HBO should be constant (if u got the $ that is)

True Blood, good.

Eastbound & Down, good.

Entourage, good.

Bored to Death, alright.

Hung, alright.

Boardwalk Empire - Looks like it's going to be awesome.

Most of time I just wait until HBO's series come out on DVD/Bluray.  Though I can neither confirm nor deny that I may have seen downloaded versions of Tru-Blood season 2 since it has yet to be released.

Are they making any more Eastbound & Down seasons?  I watched the first season on DVD and thought it was funny,  I dig Danny McBride.   I do like Entourage too but don't mind waiting for the DVD.  A lot of times when they have the free preview weekends, I get the VOD stuff too and will watch like a whole season of shows in that weekend.  I watched one of the seasons of Dexter that way when Showtime did it.   I think I may have seen one episode of Hung.

I haven't heard of Boardwalk Empire or Bored to Death.  Though I was checking out HBO's site and probably would like to watch Pacific, or whatever the title is.  Band of Brothers was pretty good, and I think this is being done by the same peeps.

Back to Tru Blood, Skroin, don't know if how much the'll follow the books, but in most aspects so far I think the shows writers do a better job with the characters.   I think the books center a little too much on Sookie, whereas the show fleshes out the other characters more.  I dig Sam a lot more in the show, while Eric is probably my favorite in the books.  I guess the biggest question is how the show deals with Bill versus the books.  In Bill's case I hope they in the direction of the books, but I just have a feeling they won't.

You forgot The Pacific, Hanso.

hanso 3/31/2010 3:15:12 PM

I didn't forget, it's just it's only a mini series so I didn't mention it.  But the Pacific is good, i guess I should've mentioned HBO miniseries and original movies too.  That Dr. Kevorkian flick with Al Pacino has caught my interest.

Isgrimmer - I know they are making one more season of Eastbound & Down for sure but I don't know how many episodes it will be, the last one was extremely short (6 eps) even for an HBO series.  I found the series very funny and I too like McBride.

Boardwalk Empire is a new HBO series that I think starts soon and it's being produced by Martin Scorcese.  I think he may even direct the pilot, not sure.  It's with Steve Buscemi and it's set in 1930-40 something like that.  It looks like it's going to have some mafia/corruption stuff going on so i'm hoping for some The Sopranos awesomeness.
