For Once Upon a Time I can add that Pinocchio is back (and, apparently, still wooden) and that Bae/Neal's fiance may not be as normal as orginally portrayed.

By the way, in re Bates Motel, knowing where it's going to end up doesn't mean you can't have fun along the way.  Look at Spartacus, for example.  Of course, if the show works, the crucial thing will be having the discipline to not drag the trip out longer than it should be (see Smallville for a show that didn't know when to stop).

No Nikita, dammit?

I am marginally more interested in the Hannibal prequel than the Psycho one, but hopefully at least one of them works.

They could kill the mother in Bates Motel early on, and keep Vera around as the other personality in Norman's warped mind.  They don't have to delay her death for the show's entire run.

A little surprised you didn't use this chance to talk about Veronica Mars kickstarter and what it means for genre TV going forward. Unless you have a much larger article.

I like the idea of Bates Motel. I am open to prequel/retells. But I just can't beinterested in most of these shows. Walking Dead and Game of Thrones has direction but alot of this stuff just flounders around. The idea as a 12 episode well thought out show amasing. Network meandering cash cow milking no thanks.    30 minute comedies can rehash and circle around. Shows that sell a decent plot can not.
