I feel the same way about Being Human, redvector, but then I like The Gates, so go figure.  If I'm going to watch a TV drama, I like a big helping of cheese. Even then, I get bored. I was bored just now watching The Gates on a lunch break.

I'm in a book mood, I guess.

Nell, you are right about Bewitched.  I used to watch reruns when I was quite young.  Don't recall too much storyline wise, but I did like it.  The difference with Eureka, though, is that Allison and Carter didn't begin the show as a couple whereas the premise of Bewitched was that the guy married a witch.

I don't think Allison and Carter getting together would be the end of the series either, but the network might.  Just saying that's usually what happens when the "star-crossed lovers" get together.

"Haven’s weird storylines wore out their welcome a long time ago, and yet the viewership remains high. Where the hell were you people when Caprica needed you?!"

Uh, well since Caprica never really moved beyond the premise of the 80's sitcom Small Wonder for an entire season, there really was nothing missed by skipping it.

Where the hell were we when Caprica needed us?  Was it cancelled or something?  Last I heard they were going to air the 2nd half of 1st season this fall then make their decision.  Though by all accounts it does look like its going to get the pink slip but hey, if V can get a 2nd season then why not Caprica?  They should have released it during the summer then split it to build an audience.

As far as Mel, what he did won't effect my tastes in watching his movies.  Edge of Darkness ( I think it was called that) was an okay, entertaining movie worth a $1 rental.  That doesn't mean he wasn't a dumb arse but the guy clearly has some drinking problems that date back a long ways.  You have to hope he beats it.  And his acting, he was damn good in Braveheart but I'll give you Hamlet.  Though you have to give him some huge balls for having the guts to try it.  Never begrudge an actor for trying to broaden their horizons.  I think he got better in acting as he got more experience but I don't have any problems with his earlier work.  Personally I like his directing so I hope he sticks with that as he gets older.
