Uh, there's no way in Hell that ST:First Contact beats Wrath of Khan. Zero chance. First Contact was a good TNG episode-movie at best.

With that said, Clone Wars, Animated Green Lantern and Young Justice: Invasion are on Cartoon Network Saturday morning. Also, the new animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are on Nickelodeon Sat. morning as well.

DaForce is correct. Wrath of Khan IS unquestionably the best ST movie. First Contact was the best NG film, which given the other 3 were fair at best isn't really saying that much.

Bruce Willis needs absolutlely no forgiveness for The Fifth Element. Luc Besson, on the other hand, needs much praise. Giving Milla Jovovich her first big shot earns him that if nothing else did.

Mystery of the Wax Museum also features Fay Wray. Lionel Atwill is in both films as well. Wax Museum is a classic, particularly in its very early Technicolor.

And yes, I highly suspect Taken II is gonna blow, also.

What, exactly, is so awful about Cowboys and Aliens?  I've seen it, and it's no cinematic classic, but I don't get the negativity I've seen directed at it.

I really hope you all been watching SOA.....daaaaaaamn!!!  It has made up for season 3

I rather liked Cowboys and Aliens.  I thought Harrison Ford did a really good acting job.  True, the movie took a sharp left turn into silly about 3/4 of the way through, but if you can accept that plot development (which does make a certain amount of sense in context) it was a fine film.

Haven is on fire this season.  The first season was pretty bad and I stopped watching it mid way through.  But season 2 was a vast improvement and the first 2 episodes of season 3 have been highly entertaining.

There's too damn much good TV on now, especially on Sundays.  My DVR is filled with shows I want to catch up on and there's a whole new week of shows to watch coming up.  Help!  My real life is interfearing with my televiewing.

BTW, has the weekly movie  column been MIA for two weeks or have I been somehow missing it?  I really looked forward to reading it every week.

Hopefully new showrunner Jeremy Carver can undo the damage that has been done to Supernatural this last season.  The good episodes were rare, and most of it just felt uninspired.

Cowboys and Aliens had moments.  Just not enough to make it a memorable film.  If Ford can't save the day anymore, then I'm at a loss.  If they toned down the silly and perhaps even made Ford the lead, it might have been a much better film.  I'd also toss in more "horror".  For some reason, most alien films have little effect on me and all I see is CGI.

That said, for as much as it cost to make, you could have feed millions in Africa.  I always think that when I watch a subpar film with stars, producers, directors making ungodly amounts of dollars.

The Burrowers had a MUCH lower budget and was a superior film.  It combined cowboys and monsters sublimely.  A genre that C&A may have crushed.

I don't know if Supernatural ran out of gas, but it did lose my interest quite a few years ago.  I don't think I agree that it had ten years in its tank.  I always found it to be X-Files lite.

I think both Wrath of Khan and First Contact are equal as far as Star Trek movies go. Wrath of Khan is a revenge film, basically, and First Contact is also a revenge film. Think of it: Khan wants revenge on Kirk for what happened in Space Seed. Eventually Kirk gets the First Contact, Picard wants revenge on the Borg, and he gets it, big time! I enjoyed them both, and try not to compare. Star Trek has had some great movies, but not as many are on par with Wrath of Khan or First Contact.

And anyone who says The Fifth Element is bunk needs their head examined! LOL!!! It may not be the movie for all people, but for me it was excellent and Bruce kicked butt in it!

Actually the latest Star Trek movie is unquestionably the best Star Trek movie, followed by First Contact then Wrath of Khan.  (Ducks and covers while looking for sharp pointy things coming from Kara' DaForces's & doublec's directions).  :)

I'm one episode behind on Haven, but that series has really picked up since it began.

And everytime I start to really get into Warehouse 13, they go on mid/end season haitus.  Why does SyFy do that (and not just with W13)?  I like that it usually has new episodes at odd times of the year, though.  Just show them all mid to late summer.

I used to think that Rob V hated all cartoons.  It is either that, or he hates anything that airs before primetime.  One of the two.  Since there is still no mention of Clone Wars, I'm going with the former.  Come on Rob, become one with the animation (especially since some of those shows - Young Justice - are better than 90 percent of everything else listed here.)

And finally, Han is a douche.  Why? Because he shot first.
