While I'm still watching Supernatural because it is just part of me since I have been watching since Season 1, it has slipped in quality a little. Sara Gamble practically ruined the show. The only time it has been good for the past few seasons is when Eric Kripke came back to write and direct a season finale. It used to be the show I couldn't miss during its first 5 seasons, now I don't get excited anymore. They stripped everything that made it Supernatural. The car was MIA for most of this past season, very little to no classic rock, the brotherly bond has never recovered the way they always promised. It seems like they have done everything to make the die-hard fans hate this show. The show can change and that's cool, but the 3 key things that made it so awesome should never have been changed. I'm crossing my fingers that Jeremy Carver cleans this show up and gets it back to the quality it once had. He has written some of the best episodes so if anyone could get it done beside Kripke, it would be him. I think Sara Gamble ran the show with a certain amount of wish fulfillment in her mind. We saw Jared shirtless under her regime more in 2 seasons than we ever saw him in the first 5 seasons. Sorry about my rant, it is one of my favorite all-time shows and it pained me to see where it has gone.

The Fifith Element is an awesome movie. When Besson casted Milla as the perfect woman, it wasn't just figurative. She literally was perfection at that time in my book. I love Bruce in the film, Korben Dallas is like watching McClane in space.

 Millean, I'll relent and say that JJ Abrams' Star Trek is Star Trek for people who didn't like the original ST but love lens flares and badly written time travel stories. :) 

I liked Abrams Star Trek. It was entertaining, but not really what I would call a Star Trek on par with Wrath of Khan or First Contact. First Contact is how you write a really good time travel movie!

Abrams Star Trek relied too heavily on gee-wiz FX and explosions, lots of action, and not enough on Trek-like story-telling. Though, I admit, there have been a few Trek movies that have had horrible stories. Star Trek V anyone? "Why does God need a Starship?" "Row Row Row Your Boat!" Ugh!

I don't consider myself a "Trekker or Trekkie", I just like Star Trek and enjoy the shows and some of the movies. My favorite TV version of Trek was Deep Space 9. Seemed more dark and story driven than The Next Generation. Voyager was pretty good. But Enterprise was a joke. The Original Series will always be Star Trek, though.

And I may be in the minority, but I really liked the first Star Trek movie, The Motion Picture. Just felt like Star Trek to me. And I like Alan Dean Foster, and since he wrote the story, I kind of have an appreciation for it because of that!

Yes, I knew my opinion would not be a popular one, but it is what it is.

I have always liked Star Trek, but not nearly as much as Star Wars.  I can definitely see why big fans of the original wouldn't like the latest outing as much.  What I don't get is why all the hate on lens flares?  If you didn't like the movie, that's fine.  Just don't hate on the lens flares because of that.  :)

It wasn't a poorly written time travel story, but it was illogical.  I still swear to this day that the movie I've seen to get time travel theory down the best is Bill & Ted's excellent adventure.

Well, money wise Abrams Trek is #1 and its #1 if you adjust for inflation too.  Critically, at least in RT, its #1 also.  So your opinion is not that unpopular Millean.

 @Fatpantz, SOA has been money this season.  I'm digging Pope as the big bad more than the last few baddies.  I'm also glad to see some death finally in the club.  Usually its bit players that die but they finally killed somebody important.  I didn't see it coming, I thought it would be the Irish guy.  Anyway, good stuff so far.

Did anyone checkout Once Upon A Time?  I thought it was very good.  Looks like they got some CG money for this season cause that Wraith looked cool.  I'm interested to see what characters were left behind when most went to Storybrooke and who the hell was that guy in the beginning?  I've read some theories and I think he's the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.  He had to know about the curse since the pigeon told him it was broken.

Also, does anyone have any clue on who Dr. Whale is?

I guess I should have said that my ST opinion would not be a popular one on this site.  I know it has been well recieved by the general public.

Hanso, as for OUAT, I don't know who the guy at the beginning was.  My first thought was that it was Rumplestiltskin's son (he's still out there somewhere, right?)  But it very well could be the White Rabbit. 

Another theory I'll throw out it that the guy is Peter Pan, since we have seen teases of Captain Hook.  (That would actually be kind of cool because it would be the opposite of him living in Neverland so he would never grow up, which would have exactly been the case had he been living in Storybrooke.

But to be honest, I had forgotten about the guy at the beginning until you mentioned him.

I must have missed a Dr Whale reference.  And someone jog my memory - what is the status of Pinocchio?  Is he working with Geppetto?  Can't remember.

 Mil, Pan sounds interesting.  I thought about the Rabbit because The Hatter knew about the curse so i thought maybe wonderland characters knew and that guy knew about the curse.  He obviuosly hasnt been able to visit Storybrooke and now he will be.  The rabbit can travel between worlds so thats why i thought it may be him.  Bit Pan can trAvel between worlds too.  I like ur idea.

Once Upon A Time is on my DVR.  I've been busy so far this week.

Millean, Abrams was quoted as saying that he prefered Star Wars to Star Trek and wanted to make his ST movie more likie SW.  If you prefered SW to ST then I'm not suprprised you liked the film.

As for me, I'm a fan of both franchises but I would prefer if Star Wars remained Star Wars and Star Trek remained Star Trek.

And if you want a fun time travel/paradox story see Looper which is currently in theaters.
