Tera Nova is good for me.  I won't get uptight about stupid secret storylines however.  This is probably going to be a great family show for kids not jilted yet anyway by progression of tv shows over the years.  Should be on Sun's for family time, prob won't since nobody wants to take on Simpons yet til it cancels for that budget problem. 

Frequently people accuse networks of trying to sabotage their own shows (by moving them around the schedule, not advertising them etc) which is absurd.  Networks want their shows to succeed so that they can sell advertising time for lots of money and make a good profit.

However, AMC has this surprise hit on their hands which got monster ratings and fantastic critical reviews.  They renew it with an order for a full season, then fire the showrunner and cut the budget.  I think accusing AMC of trying to sabotage Walking Dead would be hard to refute.

fatpanz, you're right.  Supernatural has been terrific.  And I miss the reviews.  I used to look forward to the Mania reviews of my favorite TV shows and discussions in the reply column but now they only seem to review a couple of shows a season and they never pick anything I watch.

 As great as Kubrick's 2001 is, the novel is better.  Period.

Finding the biggest screen you can for 2001: A Space Odyssey? How about the Cinerama Sat. Oct 13th, its playing on one of the last three Cinerama screens in its original 70mm. Who wants to go?

Karas1, while it's certainly true that there's no logical reason for a network to deliberately sabotage their own shows, it still happens.  The reasons are rarely known, but do occasionally float to the surface.  Sometimes it's political in-fighting within the network.  Sometimes it's the result of regime change at the network, and the new folks in charge don't want what those previously running things had in place.  Sometimes it's one person with a bone to pick.  The heads of multi-million dollar companies are capable of being just as petty and vindictive as anyone else, and they often aren't shy about throwing money away just to prove to everyone that they are in charge.

It's Monday at 8:42pm.  Am I watching Terrav Nova?  I am not.  Why not?  Because the #%^&%%$ baseball game ran over.  If the game is supposed to end at 8pm and another show is supposed to start then coverage of the game should end and if the game itself isn't over then too damn bad! 

Why is every other show on TV deemed inferior to sports?  Why should all other shows make way for an overtime sporting event?  Do I interrupt your games if scripted dramas run overtime?  I do not. 

Take your stupid sh*t off my TV and show the scheduled program!

Persons of Interest is not scifi or fantasy.  It is a mainstream show and thus is not included.

 Iron Man and Wolverine on G4 are genre, but that doesn't put them on the list here either. Honestly, I think Rob has his own list that he posts and ignores pretty much everything else.
