I don t know for you guys, but i have problem to see that s guy serioulsy as a tough guy. In LOTR it was ok but not that tough. But in van helsing he play so good the little scary guy, it was hard for me to give him credibility in 300...

Exfan, I agree. How can you follow up LOTR with that Garbage. Everyone involved should have been beaten and shot. 300 he was a little gay too (well the whole movie was overwhelmingly homoerotic). Anyway, this sounds cool, although apparently Dillinger had a really big gun...if you know what I mean.

So are there movies that are hetroerotic? lol,,,,I do agree 300 was an awesome movie, but remember in Greece back in the day, male orgies were common...Gay!!....I always like Michael Mann's movies so I am up to see what he can bring, and I think the cast sounds really good. I am glad to see Stephen Dorf in things. He is a great actor, but never seemed to hit it big. Same with Giovanni.

Will Mann shoot this in high def as he has his last couple films or will he use traditional 35mm film? High def worked for Collateral and Miami Vice since it gave each of those films a gritty realism for Los Angeles and Miami, but I don't see that same technique working for this film.

I think whether a movie is homoerotic or heteroerotic (?!) depends solely on the viewer. If you see nutsack bulges and hard man-nipples and sweaty musculature when you watch movies, who am I to argue? If you're watching Disney movies and all you can think of is the location of Ariel the mermaid's vag or how hairy Beast's balls are or you're the one that decided Bert and Ernie are too creepy-gay for kids anymore, maybe you should reevaluate your own sexual orientation or place on the sexual predator's Top 100. Just sayin. :P Bumblebee had a huge package from what i saw. lol

Oh yeah, and this movie sounds good too. You can't go wrong with some Johnny Depp...unless you're Sweeney Clod

Okay, THAT cast Mann = pure kickassedness. PS--What's up with the awful "advertising" section at the top of each page? It's friggin awful and really detracts from the page.
experiMENTAL 2/22/2008 6:10:30 PM
muchdrama, the 'advertising' section does a lot of things well. Let me explain. If you were in the market for a Public Enemy album but were to stupid to find a music destination on the internet and kept winding up here at Mania, the above section would remind you that, "Oh yeah, I got on the internet looking for 'Yo, Bum Rush The Stage' by Public Enemy. Stupid me." So, not only did you learn about Michael Mann's new movie Public Enemies, but you also realized your life is empty without owning an album called 'Yo, Bum Rush The Stage'. Strangely enough, the Incredible Hulk news page didn't advertise for John Goodman DVDs or Beano.

experiM...The advertising does nothing well...It's mania's attempt to shove advertising in our faces because most of us have smartened up and use FireFox and don't allow scripts...If you can't use a search engine to find what you need and there are quite a few search engines out there to use then you don't belong on the net and it obviously was not important enough if you forgot to go look for what you wanted and then ended up here...This appears to be a part of the new structuring that mania is working on although I will not have to many complaints about it as long as it does not slow down my uploading of the site, that's why I don't allow no scripts in the first place...So well see... By the way the two main actors and the director are reason enough for me to go watch this flick...
