PRRRRRRRFT PFFFFFFT toot plip, ahhhh

The casting of judges are nothing new for Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy but it seems that fans will also see a priest in The Dark Knight Rises. Variety reports that Brett Cullen and Chris Ellis (both appeared in Apollo 13) are the latest to board the production which is currently shooting and will play a judicial and religious official, respectively. They jump into the film just a few days after we received our first glimpse of Bane (Tom Hardy) and the additional casting of Matthew Modine, Tom Conti and Joey King.
They join fellow co-stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Nestor Carbonell, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence and Daniel Sunjata.
The Dark Knight Rises arrives in theaters July 20, 2012.
this is a few days old but good news none the less. I read about it on CBR. This particular article does happen to not mention a posssible pic of catwoman that has been discovered though many think this one is a fake. I actually happen to agree- it just doesnt fit nolans style the eye is a dead giveaway
Every time I look at the image of Hardy as Bane - I wonder how much weight he put on for the role?
Seems to me that without doing the Knightfall story, using Bane is a waste. I hope it doesn't seem forced like the villains in Spider Man 3 or worse, Bane's incarnation in Batman & Robin. Ideally, they should do a two movie story with Batman paralyzed by Bane at the end of the first. Nolan seems instead to be interested in wrapping up his trilogy and moving on. Hate to say it but that seemed just how Raimi viewed Spidey 3. Fingers crossed.
@reek
'scuse me? Rami threw Spiderman 3? i dont think so, i think that the suits got to involved and pressured all the crap that ruined Spiderman 3. the whole reason we have this new version is because Rami walked away from doing another suit crap movie.
Over all I can care less about what they do in this movie. Bane, Catwoman, the Joker. I'll be in the theaters when the movie is ready to go and see what they do in this one to disappoint. As much as everyone praises these movies and Nolan and comapny, I'm just not a fan of his Batman movies. I like them, but I don't love them
I'm with you on this one OmegaDean.
They are decent movies but nowhere the DC Universe Batman I want to see. I'm more pro-Batman DC-Universe than this "realistic" version. Just look at this Bane picture. He looks like the Gimp on roids (ok, Wiseguy was the first to call him a Gimp. :))
I want the Batman movies to look and feel more like the animated series and less like Michael Mann movies.
Hopefully when this trilogy is done, the next creative team will tie the character more to the DC Universe.
@ElBaz13
While i do love the Nolan movie, i think they need to wrap it all up with this one and move on to the next incarnation...
The only difference is that I want a full on live action TV series, get Paul Dini and Bruce Timm back as exec producers and the Rockstady team from the Arkham Asylum game seies to design the costumes and tech...
Each season could be on of the big story arks that could lead into a movie, I also think that a tv series is the only way you can do justice to the supporting characters, especially Robin, who could evolve from season to season...
as awesome as it is to hear more and more little tibits of info, and the while not as cool as the Joker but still pretty cool Bane pic, I can't help but get excited... however.... the more they talk about it the more stressed out I get not knowing anything! I want more pics! I want vague plot ideas! I want a trailer! I want summer 2012 to start right after summer 2011! Is that too much to ask??
