Ya i have to agree with the fact that a kind of darker tone along with a smart-scientific edge to the story would make Flash a little more interesting. Cuz I can't really imagine the cartoon version of Flash on the big screen cuz it would be a lil cheesy IMO. Im actually looking forward to this now! Bring it! Bring them all!

Picture Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman investigating the Seven Deadly Sins crimes, but with Pitt becoming The Flash and racing out at the speed of light to stop John Doe before he can murder the former's wife. This is the impression I got from the mention of mixing both films. Now, I admit, the idea of a CSI theme can work to an extent with The Flash, but not so much that it actually takes on the tone of Se7en.

Smallville and Supernatural kicked ass and definitely started off strong.

The Superman director rumors are fine concerning Darren Aronofsky. I'm not sure about the casting choice of Natalie Portman as Lois Lane. She doesn't seem the Lois Lane type to me. And for that matter, neither did Kate Bosworth. My opinion is to conduct a more thorough search of an actress who can pull off her qualities. Natalie is sweet, but I think she's better suited to her Jane Foster character in Thor. Erica Durance portrays Lois Lane well because she pulls off the "bold, brassy, and nosy" attributions nicely. They need someone like her for the Superman movie. Aside from this, I can see Aronofsky directing Superman, and Wolverine 2 while he's at it.

Chris Nolan should have enough sense to keep Affleck the F away from any involvement... no one wants Supes with a south BAHSTAN (boston) accent lol

no 3D Bats...

FIRST, lads...they're talking about CASEY Affleck, who directed "Gone Baby Gone", not Ben.

SECOND...Loco. it's "rogue" not "rouge". One is a bad guy, the other is makeup..

Um...No, Ben directed both Gone Baby Gone and The Town. Check IMDB...

Se7en meets Flash = Epic fail. Enough of this dark hero crap.

Good for Smallville. I liked the season premiere. As a Marvel guy, I'm jealous DC has such a fun TV show tied to their mythology. If only Marvel would get in on the small screen. Fun show and love Erica Durance.

Never heard of XIII but I might take a peek. I've been paying for premium channels up here and will finally get to watch something on Showcase HD.

Nathalie Portman as Lois Lane? Really DC and Warner? Take a look at this pattern: B. Singer from X-men to Superman, Marsden from X-men to Superman, Halle Berry Storm to Catwoman, Reynolds from Deadpool to GL and now Portman from Jane Foster to Lois Lane? Isn't there any other actors/actresses out there they could hire instead of scooping "Marvel" actors? What next? Jaime Alexander as Wonder Woman? Chris Hemsworth as Flash? Chris Evans as Superman?  I would rather see the Smallville cast be part of a the new Superman movie (I would recast Flash and Aquaman though and ditch Cyborg)

It almost feels like the recent comic business  with exclusive signings of writers and artists. I wonder if Marvel or DC/Warner actors will eventually follow that.

dojen1...BEN Affleck is indeed the director of Gone Baby Gone and The Town.

Sorry, I don't see Portman as Lois Lane. Lois needs to be a tough woman, ballsy.

It's good I'm not Nolan, because I would have backed up a truckload of money to Michael Bay's doorstep and dumped it there to get him to do the next Superman movie. It's time we get a Superman movie that really shows him kicking ass and using his powers to the fullest. Michael bay can deliver that movie in spades. After the emofest that was Superman Returns I want a ball-to-the-wall action movie showing Supes going to toe-to-toe with a supervillain in a brawl that decimates a small city.

I really don't want to see Flash headlining a dark movie. The great thing about Barry Allen was how much of an optimist he was; a kind of boyscout who's world revolved around his wife.

I dont know how I missed commenting on this yesterday but... WB forcing 3D on Nolan is the first nail in the Batcoffin. Pretty soon we'll be getting Batmite. Maybe Adam West will get his wish and have a role as Uncle Batman. Leave it to Warner to F up a good thing.

LOL Emofest that was Superman Returns... that's funny Wes.

I still say bring on The Trickster for Flash, he would work as a darker villian (who is totally insane).

maybe you guys don't get it but if they want movie theaters to expand the 3d market you can't just have a couple 3d movies a year.
