Two new TV spots have popped up online for X-Files: I Want to Believe, which you can watch together in back-to-back format on the player below. The upcoming sequel stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Xzibit, Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, Callum Keith Rennie and Adam Godley. Series creator and executive producer Chris Carter directed the long awaited sequel, based on a screenplay that he developed alongside fellow producer Frank Spotnitz.

Plot Concept: The story
is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder's pursuits.

X-Files: I Want to Believe will hit theaters July 25, 2008.

God I wish that I was Chris Carter. I wonder if he's hiring? I mean, SOMEBODY has to bring him his coffee.

This movie is in my Summer viewing list but... Damn it, more previews of NOTHING!

Does anyone really care about this movie?

I Want To Care

I want to care, and yet I don't at all. Some story would help, but I've seen nothing in the previews (maybe I'm not really paying attention) that really hints at what the movie is about. It's the same back and forth between Mulder and Scully with some guy who bleeds from the eyes and apparently has some type of esp. I'll likely be playing catch up with 3 big films in a couple weeks anyway, so Control-X file this for me.

Yeah. Other than people looking around in the snow I've got nothing to go on myself. I hope to catch this before it has left the theater but it's far from a priority at this point. Hellboy and several viewings of The Dark Knight are trumping this big time. If they had stuck with the UFO Conspiracy I would feel more compelled to check it out.

I care. Even if the previews aren't really much of anything, it's Mulder & Scully back on the big screen. And I'm not even a huge X-Files fan. But I'm happy they're back!
