With the box office success of THE RING behind them, DreamWorks Pictures has nabbed the remake rights for the South Korean horror movie A TALE OF TWO SISTERS. Craig Rosenberg, whose crime caper AFTER THE SUNSET will start filming later this year, will write the American screenplay adaptation.
The original movie opened in South Korean theaters last month and became a box office hit. The film is about two girls who are sent to live with their crazy stepmother, but apart from that details remain scarce. The film did make a splash when it was screened to prospective exhibitors at last spring's Cannes Film Festival, which is where Hollywood first learned of it.
