THE BBC runs a piece offering a bit of time with each of the four most notable additions to the LORD OF THE RINGS cast in THE TWO TOWERS (psst the film opened at midnight, but keep it hush-hush, OK? I want to get a seat!), Andy Serkis (Gollum), Miranda Otto (Eowyn), Bernard Hill (King Theoden), and Karl Urban (Éomer).
Of the four, Hill says the most surprising thing. The actor states, "I found the book whimsical with too many tangents, and lost over-written and lost conclusions - things didn't resolve themselves."
He notes that the film script "made more sense to me."
