The Walking Dead: Four Walls and a Roof Review (Article) - 10/28/2014 11:59:54 AM

I wouldn't go so far as to say, there aren't going to be any surprises since they have veered onto a storyline in the comic.   Even the whole cannibal thing was a little different. Gareth and his friends met a different demise in the comics. And Abraham and co. didn't seperate from the group. So, there is plenty going on in the tv world, that isn't happening in the comic world. Not counting all the characters that were created for the show. Who knows what happens with them.

Also..I would think the sole purpose of showing us Martin, was so we could see that Tyrese did not kill him. Just my opinion..

Mania Review: Iron Man 3 (Article) - 5/3/2013 6:39:24 PM

Saw IM3 this morning, and I liked it. Not as good as IM, but better than IM2.

It really kicks up the humor, which is right in RDJ's wheelhouse, so that came off good. Plenty of action as well. The plane sequence was fantastic! I also loved the twist. Wasn't expecting it, and I'm not sure anyone could have seen that coming. Well done! Though I am certain that will piss off big time Iron Man fans. Which I would totally understand. the people who think this movie was terrible. I really just hope that it is in the heat of the moment, because the bar was set so high. Cause really? Terrible? Go watch "Jack and Jill", "Highlander 2", "Land of the Lost", "Batman and Robin", "Mannequin 2"....cause those are terrible films. Awful films. IM3 may not have been as good as we had hoped, but It's still pretty damn fun. And still does many things well. Just saying you didn't like it, is reasonable. But, this movie was nowhere close to terrible.
End rant....

The Hangover Part III: Official Trailer (Article) - 4/11/2013 7:19:43 PM

Well, that's the first bad thing I've ever heard about "The Hangover". The first one, at least.

A little harsh on it I think. And I don't have any issue with it being covered here. As far as I am concerned, it's a hilarious R-rated comedy. Which we don't get too much of these days. Viva le Wolf Pack!!!

1952 Officially Titled Tomorrowland (Article) - 1/28/2013 4:51:12 PM

Is Tomorrowland the place where they release the story details for this movie?

Guardians of the Galaxy Casting Update (Article) - 1/23/2013 1:32:39 PM

I'm with Warcry. I do think Sandler can act, if given the chance. I loved "Punch Drunk Love". And I think he showed some range in "Funny People" and 'Spainglish".  Problem is...PDL made $17 million. "The Waterboy" made $161 million. People sure do hate his movies when they come out, but they sure make a nice chunk of change for him.

I would venture to say, that comedians have some of the best acting chops out there these days. Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Steve Martin....all have done rather well in dramatic roles. I don't think Sandler is in this class...but, I do think he pull it off a lot better than people think.

Of course, this is all my opinion. I am in the camp that is rather sick of movies like "Jack and Jill"..but, with a worldwide gross of $150 million (doubling its budget)...they won't stop anytime soon.

The Walking Dead: Seed Review (Article) - 10/15/2012 9:17:53 PM

In the comic, the birth goes as normal. But, oh my...All Hell breaks loose shortly after she gives birth!

Kick-Ass 2 Photos (Article) - 9/24/2012 6:24:44 PM

There is just no way they can keep this close to the comic. It is so brutal, they have to cut parts out.  Which will be interesting, since the plot revolves around a lot of the gruesome acts.

Also,Kick-Ass ends up with the chick he is pretending to be gay best friend with in the movie, but not in the comic. Which also plays a part in KA 2 the comic.

I have faith this will be good. And really excited to see how Jim Carrey tackles this. I have the feeling, since he was a huge fan of the first, that he won't be over the top. I'm thinking more "Truman Show" Carrey, than "The Mask" Carrey. Let's hope!

Halloween III: Season of the Witch Blu-ray Review (Article) - 9/19/2012 7:55:11 AM

Saw this when I was 11 in the theater, since a friend's mom was kind enough to let us in to the r-rated flick. I'm sure seeing it at that age, has something to do with the love I have for it. Scared the hell out of me then, and still gives me a creepy vibe now. Always hate to see people bashing it, mostly just because there is no Michael Myers. Get over it! It's thirty years later, enjoy it on it's own.

It has it's issues, sure (how exactly can someone just steal a huge rock from Stonehenge, let alone get it on a plane to Caifornia. I noticed the time zone thing when I was 11. There are more people staying at that tiny hotel, than work at the hospital in the beginning. Tom Atkins can call  one person from a gas station , that has the ability to  just turn programming off on all the networks, because a guy is telling him he's  gotta shut it off? And really? Kids all over the country are buying THOSE masks?) . But whatever. I can look past them. I especially like the non-traditional ending. Just ordered the dvd..and can't wait to see al the extras and new transfer!

Radioactive Man Recasted? (Article) - 9/3/2012 4:27:44 PM

I can't be the only one who saw the title, and thought they were making a movie about Radioactive Man from "The Simpsons"
