UK Says "No" to Rockstar's MANHUNT 2

Rockstar Games is no stranger to controversial gaming news but they still took some beatings the last two days in the Gaming World. Beatings which might affect their financial pocket book. Yesterday, the UK flat out banned Rockstar's upcoming "Manhunt 2" (the sequel to the 2003 original best seller) and today, it got worse for the infamous 3rd party developer.

In reaction to the UK banning the release of the game, the ESRB has followed with an AO (Adults Only) rating for the game. For those of you familiar in gaming, this is a rating which could hinder sales for Rockstar. Most large retailers such as Walmart do not sell AO games on their shelves.

When the GTA:San Andreas got an AO rating, Rockstar was quick to edit out content and offending material to get back to the more marketable Mature Rating.

No word yet if Rockstars plans the same strategy for Manhunt 2.

Hopefully if they do edit out content to make it only an M rating (which dumbass parents will happily buy for their children) they will still released at the very least a limited edition version of the AO copy.
